The event, which will be held from 5-7 p.m. in the UMKC Conservatory S22 *Western Illinois L, 2-3 (27-30, 19-30, 30-22, 30-25, 7-15) lobby, will celebrate the life of Cynthia Gabel. Donations will be accepted and all proceeds from the match will be donated to the Cynthia Gabel Scholarship Fund. UMKC fell to the Sugar Bears by the scores of 25-30, 22-30 and 20-30. O6 *Oral Roberts L, 2-3 (22-30, 30-23, 22-30, 35-33, 11-15) Sophomore Kelly Gettinger posted her team-leading sixth double-double in the defeat for the team. O10 at Central Arkansas L, 0-3 (25-30, 22-30, 20-30) O12 *IPFW 7 p.m. Gettinger Tallies Second Straight Double-Double - Sophomore Kelly Gettinger tallied her sec- O13 *Oakland 7 p.m. ond straight double-double with 10 kills and 11 digs on Wednesday at Central Arkansas. The O19 *at Western Illinois 7 p.m. performance comes on the heel of a 13 kill and 12 dig performance against Oral Roberts last Saturday. Gettinger now has a team-high six double-doubles this season for the Kangaroos. O20 *at IPFW 6 p.m. On the year, Gettinger is second on the team in digs (234) and third on the squad in kills (180). O21 at Butler 12 p.m. The Overland Park, Kan., native has nine matches on the year with 10 or more kills and 13 O26 *at Oral Roberts 7 p.m. matches with 10 or more digs. O27 *at Centenary 5 p.m. N2 *South Dakota State 7 p.m. Something To Build On - By forcing a fifth game against Oral Roberts, the Kangaroos accom- plished something that hadn’t been done in 14 years. The last time that a UMKC team played N3 *North Dakota State (Senior Night) 7 p.m. a five-game match against the Golden Eagles came on Sept. 18, 1993, which happens to be the N9 *at Oakland 6 p.m. last victory for the Kangaroos in the all-time series. N10 *at IUPUI 6 p.m. N16-17 Summit League Championships TBA Career-Highs All Around - UMKC had three players establish career-highs against Oral Roberts last Saturday night. Senior Kylee Stephenson finished with a career-best 27 assists against the (Fort Wayne, Ind.) Golden Eagles, while fellow senior Sarah Johnson tied a career-high with six blocks (one solo, five assists). Freshman Holly Schmidt also tied a career-best with five blocks against ORU. ! Dr. Mary Jo Wynn/TJ Sales Invitational (Springfield, Mo.) In the team’s next match at Central Arkansas, Simone Smith tied a career-best with two kills # Mean Green Classic (Denton, Texas) to go along with a career-high four digs. Junior Danni Sperry, meanwhile, had a career-best eight % SIU Saluki Invitational (Carbondale, Ill.) assists in the match. * Summit League Match UMKC Posts Team-Bests - The Kangaroos posted season team-highs in kills and hitting per- centage last weekend in matches against Centenary and Oral Roberts. UMKC Sports Information UMKC posted its highest hitting percentage of the year (.326) against the Ladies. A day later, the team had its second best hitting clip on the season, when it finished with a .235 clip against ORU. The squads earned the distinction as a result of being the highest‐placing teams with at least a 3.00‐cumulative GPA at the most recent NCAA indoor and outdoor championship, respectively. In addition, the USTFCCCA announced 90 squads as All‐Academic teams for the track & field seasons. Indoor Track & Field Scholar Team of the Year – BYU The Cougars of BYU finished as the third‐place team at the 2011 NCAA Indoor Track &Field Championships, scoring 34 points with the help of three event titles. BYU has compiled a 3.22 cumulative team GPA through the spring 2011 semester. National Indoor Scholar‐Athlete of the Year Miles Batty won the mile and anchored the distance medley relay to a national title. Batty is one of ten Cougars that were named last week as All‐Academic individuals for the 2011 track & field seasons. The Longhorns scored 38 led by performances by Mia Behm in the 5000 meters, Shanay Briscoe in the high jump, and Chantel Malone in both the long and triple jump. Behm, Briscoe, and Malone are among 12 from Texas who earned individual All‐Academic honors last week. Texas has a cumulative team GPA of 3.28 through the 2011 spring semester. Outdoor Track & Field Scholar Team of the Year – Oklahoma The Sooners claimed a fourth‐place showing at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in June, scoring 42 points, just seven behind three‐peat champion Texas A&M.

INFORMATIONAL ITEMS. 1. Review of recent reports. The NCAA Division I Competition Oversight Committee approved reports from its June quarterly meeting and subsequent biweekly videoconferences through September 23. 2. Equity, diversity, inclusion (EDI) and the student-athlete voice. Staff updated the committee on initiatives the Championships Equity Action Team is undertaking that enhance opportunities to support equity, diversity and inclusion at NCAA championships. 3. Division I governance update. Staff updated the committee on the work being conducted by the NCAA Name, Image and Likeness Legislative Solutions Group, the NCAA Division I Championships Finance Review Working Group, and the NCAA Division I Working Group on Transfers, all three of which are finalizing legislative packages for the NCAA Division I Council to consider for the 2020-21 cycle. 4. Financial status report. The committee reviewed budget-to-actuals for championships through the 2019-20 fiscal year. 5. COVID-19 updates. a. Update from NCAA Chief Medical Officer. NCAA Chief Medical Officer Dr. Brian Hainline updated the committee on the recently released resocialization policies for basketball and additional efforts being taken to address participant health and safety and testing protocols in other sports. b. Governance meetings. Staff noted that governance meetings will be held virtually through August 2021, though there may be limited exceptions for championship selection meetings. 6. Playing Rules Oversight Panel reports. The committee reviewed reports from the panel's most recent meetings.

    2016-2017 College and University Green Power Challenge Throughout the 2016-17 academic year, EPA's Green Power Partnership tracked the collegiate athletic conferences with the highest combined green power usage in the nation. The College and University Green Power Challenge is open to any collegiate athletic conference in the United States. On April 24, 2017, EPA concluded the Green Power Challenge and recognized the Champion Green Power Conference as well as the largest single green power users within each participating conference as 2016-17 EPA Green Power Challenge conference champions, listed in the below tables. The Champion Green Power Conference for the 2016-2017 Challenge is the Big Ten Conference and the individual school using the most green power is the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Interested in joining the 2017-18 Green Power Challenge? Check out our Steps to Join Green Power Partnership page for more information. To be listed, a conference must have at least two Green Power Partners and an aggregate green power purchase of at least 10 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) across the conference.
