The ‘Roos will begin play in Paducah, Ky., against Murray State on Friday after- Oct. 22-26 at ITA/Wilson Central noon at 4 p.m. before playing at Southern on Saturday morning beginning at 10 Region Championships a.m. Feb. 5 vs. Murray State 4 p.m. Feb. 6 at Southern Illinois 10 a.m. THE OPPONENTS Feb. 12 at Creighton 7 p.m. Murray State enters Friday’s match with an 0-1 record after dropping its season-opener Feb. 20 at Marquette 6 p.m. against Louisville (7-0). Last season, the Racers finished with a 7-10 overall record and a Feb. 21 at Illinois- 6 p.m. 4-4 mark in the . The squad’s season came to an end with a 4-1 loss Feb. 24 Cowley County CC 1 p.m. to Eastern Kentucky in the semifinals of the OVC Championship. Southern Illinois brings a 1-1 record into Saturday’s match after falling 7-0 to EKU before Feb. 27 at Arkansas 12 p.m. topping Georgetown (Ky.), 7-0. A year ago, the Salukis posted an 18-7 overall record and Mar. 9 Ferris State 3 p.m. claimed the Missouri Valley Conference Championship. SIU then dropped a 4-0 decision to Mar. 10 at Drake 5 p.m. UCLA in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. UMKC finished the year with a 14-7 overall record, which tied the single season school record for wins. The team had three student-athletes 2009-10 UMKC garner all-Summit League honors on the year, as Patrick Smith and Bret Berryman were first team selections, while Guerin was a second team honoree. During his second year with the ‘Roos, he guided his men’s Dennis Schwarz Sr. Munich, Germany squad to the 2009 Summit League Tournament title and an NCAA Tournament appearance.
