St. John’s Ambulance Old Men’s Parliament, Garden of Rest—find out when the Old Men are in session each week while being entertained by the Shadows tribute band. ALL OUR OPEN DAY Wetherby Speakers Club Castlegarth Tennis Club—12pm to 2pm. Ever fancied joining the club, or trying out tennis? Come along and have a go! Wetherby Art Group Tempo FM—Our local radio station’s studios will be open in the One Stop Centre so you can see where it is broadcast from. Listen on 107.4FM. ACTIVITIES ARE FREE! Wetherby Gymnastics Fire Station—Meet your local firefighters! With tours, demos, fitness tests, charity stall and a bbq (subject to operational requirements)! Refreshments will be available to Salvation Army Restart a Heart, First Aid Training—10am, 12pm and 2pm—come and learn potentially life-saving skills, with St. John Ambulance. Wetherby Cricket Club The Bath House in Jubilee Gardens Wetherby Camera Club—10am to 4pm—annual exhibition of work produced by the members of Wetherby Camera Club in Wetherby Town Hall. Wetherby Chess Club Wetherby Methodist Church Playground Openings—Scaur Bank at 10.30am, Nidd Approach at 11am and Masons Field at 11.30am. Join the Mayor to officially open our 3 new Wetherby Ladies Forum Wetherby Town Hall playgrounds with goody bags for the first 25 children at each site. SPECIAL BANDSTAND PROGRAMME: Petanque Club—come along to Lodge Lane to try out this French pastime! Games happening all day! 10.15am—Collingham Silver Band Wetherby Bike Trails—10am and 11am from Station Car Park . The 10am session is aimed at new riders/younger riders and the route will 11.15am—Daytones Harmony Band be mainly hard packed loop including the Little Toe. The second will be longer and a little more challenging with a few more light technical 12.15pm—The Elysian Singers features and some up hills. 1.15pm—Wetherby Musical Theatre Group St. James’ Church—12.30pm—Join Adam Parrish for an organ recital and have a look round the parish church. 2.15pm—Wetherby Music Centre Wetherby Sports Association—find out more about the activities and facilities at the Association whilst enjoying refreshments.
