Bardolino Doc Classico
BARDOLINO DOC CLASSICO Harvest 2019 MARCHESINI HISTORY Marcello Marchesini Winery is situated in Lazise on Lake Garda, where it keeps its roots deeply planted and breaths years of hard work, passion and true love for the vineyard. Late Grandfather ‘Nonno Plinio’, worked hard after the war and put all his savings to purchasing a tractor in order to continue working on the land of Count Cavazzocca in Lazise, just as his family had been doing for the previous 200 years. His hard work and determination paid off when in a short space of time he managed to buy for himself Count Cavazzocca’s house and his very first vineyard, the one still known today as I Santi, where the production of the grapes for Bardolino are still being cultivated. In the 80’s, Marcello, the son of Plinio took over the family business and here a new generation started a new way of producing wine. Over the years, Marcello had worked in wineries in the area and brought new ideas to the business. The vision of Nonno Plinio, who had experienced hunger, hard work and the difficulties of working on the land meaning he focused mainly on quantity was then taken over by Marcello’s new way of working on the quality of wine, leaving the idea of quantity behind him. In the new millennium the winery took a new turn when a new ‘Pink’ generation came in to give the winery a feminine touch. The winery is currently run by Marcello’s daughters; Erika and Giorgia. Giorgia is Enologist, following through the process of vinification together with her father Marcello, working both in the wine cellar and in the vines. -

Friuli Venezia Giulia: a Region for Everyone
EN FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA: A REGION FOR EVERYONE ACCESSIBLE TOURISM AN ACCESSIBLE REGION In 2012 PromoTurismoFVG started to look into the tourist potential of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region to become “a region for everyone”. Hence the natural collaboration with the Regional Committee for Disabled People and their Families of Friuli Venezia Giulia, an organization recognized by Regional law as representing the interests of people with disabilities on the territory, the technical service of the Council CRIBA FVG (Regional Information Centre on Architectural Barriers) and the Tetra- Paraplegic Association of FVG, in order to offer experiences truly accessible to everyone as they have been checked out and experienced by people with different disabilities. The main goal of the project is to identify and overcome not only architectural or sensory barriers but also informative and cultural ones from the sea to the mountains, from the cities to the splendid natural areas, from culture to food and wine, with the aim of making the guests true guests, whatever their needs. In this brochure, there are some suggestions for tourist experiences and accessible NATURE, ART, SEA, receptive structures in FVG. It is therefore a question of developing an "ecosystem" made up of hospitality, services, products, experiences, a “unicum” in which the global market can express great interest, increasingly adding to the paradigms of the past the new ones made possible by digitization. -

SWE PIEDMONT Vs TUSCANY BACKGROUNDER
SWE PIEDMONT vs TUSCANY BACKGROUNDER ITALY Italy is a spirited, thriving, ancient enigma that unveils, yet hides, many faces. Invading Phoenicians, Greeks, Cathaginians, as well as native Etruscans and Romans left their imprints as did the Saracens, Visigoths, Normans, Austrian and Germans who succeeded them. As one of the world's top industrial nations, Italy offers a unique marriage of past and present, tradition blended with modern technology -- as exemplified by the Banfi winery and vineyard estate in Montalcino. Italy is 760 miles long and approximately 100 miles wide (150 at its widest point), an area of 116,303 square miles -- the combined area of Georgia and Florida. It is subdivided into 20 regions, and inhabited by more than 60 million people. Italy's climate is temperate, as it is surrounded on three sides by the sea, and protected from icy northern winds by the majestic sweep of alpine ranges. Winters are fairly mild, and summers are pleasant and enjoyable. NORTHWESTERN ITALY The northwest sector of Italy includes the greater part of the arc of the Alps and Apennines, from which the land slopes toward the Po River. The area is divided into five regions: Valle d'Aosta, Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna. Like the topography, soil and climate, the types of wine produced in these areas vary considerably from one region to another. This part of Italy is extremely prosperous, since it includes the so-called industrial triangle, made up of the cities of Milan, Turin and Genoa, as well as the rich agricultural lands of the Po River and its tributaries.
