Ministry of Health and Family Welfare National Family Health Survey - 4 2015 -16 District Fact Sheet Jabalpur Madhya Pradesh International Institute for Population Sciences (Deemed University) Mumbai 1 Introduction The National Family Health Survey 2015-16 (NFHS-4), the fourth in the NFHS series, provides information on population, health and nutrition for India and each State / Union territory. NFHS-4, for the first time, provides district-level estimates for many important indicators. The contents of previous rounds of NFHS are generally retained and additional components are added from one round to another. In this round, information on malaria prevention, migration in the context of HIV, abortion, violence during pregnancy etc. have been added. The scope of clinical, anthropometric, and biochemical testing (CAB) or Biomarker component has been expanded to include measurement of blood pressure and blood glucose levels. NFHS-4 sample has been designed to provide district and higher level estimates of various indicators covered in the survey. However, estimates of indicators of sexual behaviour, husband’s background and woman’s work, HIV/AIDS knowledge, attitudes and behaviour, and, domestic violence will be available at State and national level only. As in the earlier rounds, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India designated International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai as the nodal agency to conduct NFHS-4. The main objective of each successive round of the NFHS has been to provide essential data on health and family welfare and emerging issues in this area. NFHS-4 data will be useful in setting benchmarks and examining the progress in health sector the country has made over time.

Geographically, its altitude, Longitude and Latitude is 301.5M, 80°50'E and 21°45'N, respectively. The Murjhad Farm where the College is located was established during the British rule (1917-18) and after independence, in 1965, it came under the aegis of JNKVV, Jabalpur and was subsequently rechristened as Regional Agriculture Research Station, Murjhad Farm. The primary objective of the farm was to supply high quality pure seeds of recommended paddy varieties to the farmers of the Balaghat region. Later, because of inclusion of Balaghat district in the Chhattisgarh plain agro-climatic zone, the RARS was attached to the then newly established Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwa Vidyalya, Raipur in 1987-88. However, with the formation of Chhattisgarh as a new state in year 2000, RARS, Waraseoni was again transferred back to JNKVV, Jabalpur on 6th November 2000. Since, then the RARS Murjhad Farm is an inherent part of JNKVV, Jabalpur. In the year 2019, College of Agriculture, Balaghat was accreditated by the ICAR peer review committee with a prestigious score of 3.01.

ARMY WELFARE HOUSING ORGANISATION TECHNICAL BROCHURE JABALPUR DEC 2014 ARMY WELFARE HOUSING ORGANISATION LOCATION PLAN ARMY WELFARE HOUSING ORGANISATION LOCATION The AWHO site measuring 8.03 acres is located on NH12A, Jabalpur Mandla Road, near the bridge on river Gour. The project site is approx at a distance of 08 km from Jabalpur Railway Station and 07 km from HQ MB Area on the fringe of cantonment area. The Project site is a beautiful hillock with steep slopes. The water shed area of river Gour and dense plantation from three sides creates a panoramic view. The complex being developed by AWHO comprises of a total of 136 dwelling units which include Independent Bungalows and mix of Duplex, Deluxe, Modern and SFA apartments in multistoried configuration. As per the mandate of the State Govt, 19 Nos dwelling units are being constructed for the LIG and EWS. CONCEPT The planned layout has been done keeping in mind the undulating nature of the site. The DUs are sited in the shape of a garland having open sides, to provide maximum natural light and ventilation to provide better view from the DUs. Adequate green space is being catered for along with area for sport facilities. The club House, party lawn is planned on the top of the hill and is accessible by a motorable road.
