Quick introduction: Greetings ! My name is Jenny ! I can’t remember when exactly I started taking pictures but I remember finding the idea of being able to capture a moment in time so fascinating. I'm a very romantic person, no, i am not in love haha but in others ways i'm a dreamer, and an art enthusiast. I’m fascinated by art, and when i say art, i mean every form of art, from literature to paintings to photography, I've tried them all and they’ve all played a huge role in my life. When it comes to photography, I mostly shoot portraits but I do hope, as I progress and try new things, I’ll be able to tell a story through a picture because that’s what I find magical in photography, to be able to tell a story and make the audience feel things just by looking at an image.

Inspirations and process During the week, Lara (The model) and I went through Pinterest to find inspirations: clothing, setting, aesthetic . . .we asked ourselves whether we wanted to shoot indoors or outdoors but because of the recent COVID outbreak we decided to do it at school. We wanted to go for something rather minimalist and we also wanted to experiment with movement. We tried various poses, some didn’t go as planned, and that’s alright, but most of them turned out pretty great, some even better than expected ! When it came to the part where we had to choose a name for this collection, we tried to find a word that would represent the feelings and the vibes the pictures give and through my perspective, the first word that I came to mind was ‘dream’, but it wasn’t right. So with Lara, we agreed on ‘Daydream”.

The common answer would usually be high school, puberty, awkwardness etc.. But this isn't the case with Jules Vigier. Jules, a young 14 year old boy, is a deadly and notorious serial killer.

Now, he wasn't always like this. I, Naomi Spessa, have been a classmate of his for over 8 years now and he was just your typical student. He typically passed most of his classes, had a small friend group, a bit weird and mean at times; but an overall AVERAGE person. No one really knew who he really was, he'd only occasionally bring up his family and tell short stories about them, and that was it. He never said anything more. So of course it all came as a huge shock and surprise to us when we found out the horrible truth of what he'd done. Over the years, lots of expats have gone missing here in Ho Chi Minh City. One thing they all had in common was their name. Name is singular because they all had the same name; JULES. It was odd because now, there was only one Jules left; Vigier himself. I've always been interested in true crime so I took an interest in this. The Vietnam police department clearly didn't care about this case, so I decided to solve it myself. My plan was simple: ask to come over to work on a group project together, ask where the bathroom is, then secretly investigate his house. Easy right? Well... It worked!

How are black holes formed, and what are they?

It's pretty simple, when a large star dies, it collapses on itself, in a supernova. Normally, there are balanced forces in a star, that keep as it is. There is gravity of course, and something called nuclear fusion, which provides the star with energy, and counters gravity (see drawing below). When a star is about to die, it ceases to do nuclear fusion, gravity has therefore nothing to stop it: the star collapses under its own weight.

When this happens, when the star collapses, it does in it a big explosion: a supernova. If the star is big enough, the collapse will form a black hole. It will curve spacetime to the point of puncturing it. It creates a sort of never-ending hole. The singularity, is point that in infinitely massive, and infinitely dense. It is a single dot. It is where the black hole punctures space-time.

As the singularity is infinitely massive, it has an immense gravitational pull. Once you are within the gravitational field of the black hole, you will never get out, as the gravity is way to strong.
