REQUEST UNDER THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 Ref No: FOI2017/01107

I write in connection with your request for information received on 30th October. I note you seek access to the following information:

The total number of murder investigations on file with Constabulary that as of October 28 2017 nobody had been convicted of, or nobody was currently charged in connection with. For each case please include the name and age of the victim, the date and location of the murder/victim's body found, and the cause of death where known. Please also indicate if any arrests or charges were made in connection in the past and any other relevant information.

I am required by the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (The Act) to handle all requests in a manner that is blind to the identity of the requestor. Any information released in response to a request is regarded as being published and therefore, in the public domain without caveat.

Keith CHURCH 27 years 09/07/1982 High Rd, Victim was repeatedly stabbed whilst No , Herts riding his pedal cycle.

Bernard WARREN 54 years 08/08/1982 Clifford St, Punched around the head and robbed at Yes , Herts the rear of shops. He died 3 weeks later.

Joan MACAN 80 years 05/05/1988 Monument Drive, Disturbed burglars at her home and was Yes Ashridge, beaten over the head with a weapon. . Bridget BROSNAN 70 years 10/01/1990 Lister Hospital, Victim found suffocated in bed in a Yes psychiatric ward.

Patrick HURLING 45 years 30/11/1990 Bengeo St, Victim was beaten and strangled and his Yes house set on fire.

Ivan DUNN 56 years 07/01/1993 Lay–by, Victim found lying in the road with No Rd, severe head injuries.

Denise MOTLEY 43 years 09/11/1998 Mirror Palace, Victim struck over the head with a heavy Yes Walsworth Rd, object. Keith ROGERS 40 years 29/04/2001 River Court, Whilst asleep petrol was poured through Yes the letterbox of victim’s flat and ignited. Victim died of organ failure due to smoke inhalation.

Shumin HUSSAIN 29 years 07/09/2003 Telford Ct, St During a large disturbance in a flat the Yes Albans victim fell to his death from a 9th floor window. Patrick SORAGHAN 46 years 07/04/1993 Station Rd, During an argument between alcoholics Yes living in a derelict building, the victim was stabbed and died 3 weeks later. Mustafa ZARIF 32 years 15/12/1995 Nine Acre Wood, Victim was taken to a secluded area, Yes Cucumber Lane, strangled and put in a shallow pre dug Essendon grave.
