We are learning, rejoicing, singing, praying, lamenting, & giving thanks+ … with the Psalmist! We are on a journey called life with the Psalmist! We are experiencing God, God’s word, and life with the Psalmist! We are in the co-pilot sea of this jet – flying with the pilot! Dialogue, dialogue, dialogue… 1. Praying with the Psalmist – Help! Psalm 12:1 Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; For the faithful fail from among the children of men. Psalm 3:7 Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: For thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; Thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly. Psalm 6:4 Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: Oh save me for thy mercies’ sake. Psalm 54:1 Save me, O God, by thy name, And judge me by thy strength. Psalm 54:2 Hear my prayer, O God; Give ear to the words of my mouth. 2. Learning with the Psalmist – Hmmm! I didn’t know that! That’s new! That helps me! That gives me insight! Psalm 1:1-6 Psalm 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. Psalm 19:8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. Psalm 19:9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: The judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
