In the finals, he suprassed his trial time and posted a school record time and improved upon his NCAA auto- matic qualifying time (1:49.61). • Senior Brian Donovan (East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) set TCNJ’s school record while competing in the 10,000 meter run with an NCAA provisional time of 30:23.40. • Senior Matt Molski (Sparta, NJ/Sparta) posted a timer of 3:56.76 in the 1,500 meter run to improve upon his time this season. • In the men’s 4 x 100 relay, the Lions picked up a 12th place finish and improved upon their qualifying time for the upcoming NCAA Division III Championships as they recorded a time of 41.72 behind the efforts of senior Stephen Andrews (Kearny, NJ/Kearny), fresh- man Kyle Gafgen (Robbinsville, NJ/Lawrence), jun- ior Karim Cockrell (Roselle, NJ/Abraham Clark) and junior Kevin Jones (Galloway, NJ/Absecon). • On Monday at the Villanova Last Chance Meet, junior Brittny Boyd (Hackettstown, NJ/Hackettstown) im- proved upon her NCAA provisional qualifying time in the 100 meter dash as she took second in 12.05, which is a personal best for her. •Junior Tiffany Clark (West Orange, NJ/West Orange) picked up fifth place in the 100 meter dash with an NCAA provisional time of 12.18 and also picked up sec- ond place in the 200 meter dash in 24.81, while also improved upon her NCAA provisional qualifying time. • In the 200 meter dash, TCNJ’s freshman Carolyn Gray (Barnegat, NJ/Southern Regional) posted a per- sonal best time as she ran a 26.03, while rookie Jes- sica Bonelli (Sewell, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) also had a personal bets time in the same race with a 26.30. • In the men’s 100 meter dash, senior Steven Andrews (Kearny, NJ/Kearny) picked up second place in the 2005 TCNJ Outdoor Track & Field Schedule race with an NCAA provisional time of 10.78.ond in the May shot put (15.43 meters). MEN’S TENNIS: 12-3 (Ranked No. 25) Ranked No. 25 national ranking on April 15 and standing at No. 8 regionally in the North- east Region, the Lions did not get a bid to the 2005 NCAA Division III Team competition. • Instead, TCNJ’s head coach Scott Dicheck recieved a call on May 9, inviting the Lions’ No. 1 singles player, sophomore Ryan Carty (Belle Mead, NJ/Montgomery) to compete in the 2005 NCAA Division III Singles Champi- onships, May 21-22 at the University of Cali- fornia-Santa Cruz. • Carty brings a 22-4 on the year into his first NCAA tournament. He went 11-3 in dual meet competition and 11-1 in tournament play. He is currently ranked No. 10 regionally in singles play this spring. On his career, Carty is now 28-13 in singles action.
