Four-time Olympian and former NCAA 400-meter champion Aliann John McCree returned to his alma mater in the Fall of 2014 to guide St. Pompey was announced as the new sprints and hurdles coach of the John’s storied throwing program. As a competitor in the hammer throw, shot put and discus at Essex Urban Institute of Math and Science for Young Women, and served Catholic High School in Newark, N.J., McCree was schooled in the throwing as a Director of Development for PowerPlay NYC and a Development events by legendary coach Tony Naclerio, the 1996 U.S. Olympic throws Associate for Harlem Renaissance High School.
