Local Tourism Numbers Up • 4.4% increase in local tax revenues, from $3.8 million in 2017 to $4 million in 2018. • $150.6 million in total travel expenditures, an increase of 5.9% versus 2017. • For the period 2008 to 2018, Kankakee County saw a reported 38% increase in local travel expenditures. Kankakee County’s top employer a consistent leader among the best U.S. hospitals.
