Hannah Toeman Profile BA Geography As a geography student, I arrived in Manchester quite early. We had a field trip to the Lake District before the start of term. It was a great opportunity to get to know people in my year from the beginning. Joining societies also helped me to settle in. Get involved with as many as possible! And keep an open mind – some of the societies I’m in now are actually the ones that I didn’t think I’d stick with. It’s also great being in a city as buzzing as Manchester. There’s always something going on, be it music, sport or theatre.
