Thehidesare identi- iedasSegesser I and II andmay have been made in theregionthatisnow NewMexico. It’s possible that thehideswerepainted by morethan onepersoninthe early 18th century andbearastyle morereminiscentofindig- enous folk paintings than European styles.The Segesser hidesare on permanentdisplay.
