Johnson 马艾华 SIL International 世界少数民族语文研究院 East Asia Group 东亚部 2008 Eric C. Johnson and Susanne J. Johnson The Southern Zhuang Languages of Yunnan Province’s Wenshan Prefecture from a Sociolinguistic Perspective Abstract Although the majority of China’s 16 million Zhuang nationality people live in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, over one million Zhuang also live in Yunnan Province, mostly in the Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in the extreme southeast of the province. More than half of these Zhuang speak Central Taic languages collectively known to linguists as “Southern Zhuang,” but referred to by their speakers as “Nong,” “Dai,” and “Min.” The goal of this paper is to introduce the sociolinguistic situation of the Yunnan Southern Zhuang languages, especially focusing on the current language use situation in rural Southern Zhuang villages, the present vitality of these languages and their prospects for future preservation and development. 1 Introduction The Zhuang people are the largest minority nationality within the People’s Republic of China, numbered at 16 million during the 2000 national census (National Bureau of Statistics 2003). Of these, approximately one third speak "Southern Zhuang," that is, Central Taic varieties, whereas two thirds speak "Northern Zhuang," or Northern Taic varieties. Over 1.1 million Zhuang nationality people live in Yunnan Province, and more than half of these are speakers of Central Taic language varieties. Though the Tai family as a whole has been the subject of a significant amount of research in Thailand, China, and elsewhere during the past century, much remains to be done.

The folk culture of Yunnan ethnic minorities is an indispensable part of it, which presents the characteristics of diversity in form. It has a typical exemplary role in studying the core socialist values of the folk culture of ethnic minorities by deeply excavating the core value connotation of the folk culture of ethnic minorities, enriching and improving the comprehensive connotation of core values in the folk culture of ethnic minorities, and strengthening the ideological guiding role of core values in the folk culture of ethnic minorities. 1. Introduction Culture, as a social phenomenon, has existed with human beings since ancient times. “the core values of an ethnic group or a country must be consistent with the history and culture of this ethnic group or this country. [1]” Yunnan is one of the cradles of mankind. The population of ethnic minorities accounts for more than one third of the total population of the province. It is the province with the largest number of ethnic groups in china. The distribution area of ethnic minorities makes up about three-quarters of the province's total area. Of the 55 ethnic minorities in the country, 25 are living in villages with more than 4000 people in Yunnan province.

The mineral elements content were closely related to low diversity, high-yielding, and multi-resistance breeding; The K, Mg, Ca and Mn content in high-yielding and resistant varieties were high, and other nutrients such as P, Fe, Zn and Cu were low, which was connected with the heredity and physiological mechanism of mineral nutrients. There is zonal distribution of mineral elements content from Yunnan rice, especially for P, Fe, Zn and Cu co-related with the diversity center, paddy versus upland, glutinous and non-glutinous, glume-hair versus nuda, rice color, rice flavor, soft rice versus non-soft rice, but it did not find any association with indica-japonica types. The results supported the ecological variety group view of 5-grade taxonomic system “species-subspecies-ecological groups-ecological variety groups–varietal types”.

Han1,2, G. Wu1, E. Horak3, R.E. Halling4, J. Xu5, E.S.T. Ndolo6, H. Sato7,8, N. Fechner9, Y.P. Sharma10, Z.L. Yang1,* Key words Abstract Strobilomyces is broadly distributed geographically and serves an important ecological function. However, it has been difficult to delimit species within the genus, primarily due to developmental variations and phenotypic Boletes plasticity. To elucidate phylogenetic relationships among species within the genus and to understand its species ectomycorrhizal fungi diversity, especially in Asia, materials of the genus collected from five continents (Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and infrageneric treatment North/Central America) were investigated. The phylogeny of Strobilomyces was reconstructed based on nucleotide morphological characters sequences of four genes coding for: the largest and the second largest subunits of the RNA polymerase II (RPB1 taxonomy and RPB2); the translation elongation factor subunit 1-α (TEF1); and the mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase subunit 3 (COX3). The combined results based on molecular phylogenetics, morphological characters, host tree associations, and geographical distribution patterns support a new classification consisting of two sections, sect. Strobilomyces and sect. Echinati. Using the genealogical concordance phylogenetic species recognition (GCPSR) approach, at least 33 phylogenetic species in Asia can be delimited, all of which are supported by morphological features, and five phylogenetic species remain to be described. The mountainous region of Southwest China is especially special, containing at least 21 species and likely represents a centre of diversification.

By using GIS and related statistical analysis software, this paper summarizes three basic urban and rural types: river channel type, plateau surface type, and loess terrace horizon prototype in the Loess Landscape Jinghe River Basin. It is known that most towns in the loess plateau gully area are in the Jinghe River Basin. According to the spatial distribution characteristics of urban and rural areas, the optimal layout based on the main structure of five districts, nine River corridors, and four plates is proposed. Using the DEM module of ArcGIS to divide the elevation and gradient of Guangnan County, we know that the density of urban and rural settlements in Guangnan County is low and the spatial distribution is dispersed, and the distribution of urban and rural settlements shows a strong elevation orientation.
