Nobody can fast without hav- ing a degree of patience, which is mentioned in the Quran as one of the qualities of someone who will go to Paradise. For example, “I (God) have rewarded them this Day [with Paradise] for what they have endured patiently; they are indeed the ones that are truly triumphant!” (23:111) As successfully completing fasting in Ramadan requires patience, so does entrance into Paradise. In fact, Paradise requires two kinds of patience: one is proactive and the other reactive. The proactive type is striving to adopt a way of life sanctioned by God. It means making the effort to learn what God wants KUWAIT: (Left) Supporters carry opposition leader Musallam Al-Barrak on their shoulders after he was freed on bail yesterday. 2 Hello FCA Southwest Region Members, With springtime here, our club’s events calendar is in full swing! In May alone, our dedicated event chairpersons have organized four events to enjoy. From our Kentucky Derby Drive and Party, Marshall’s Tom Malloy Collection Tour, our popular Concorso Ferrari concours with Maranello’s finest presented on historic Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena, to a special invitation to Snaidero USA/Pininfarina’s showroom, we have a lot of unique experiences that your Ferrari will beg you to attend. In March, Marv and I attended the FCA National Board Meeting where all Regional Directors are invited to help guide the club’s direction. Three key developments were announced during the three full days of meetings in Atlanta. Firstly, an agreement with Ferrari SpA was signed to join their International Council of Ferrari Clubs. This agreement solidifies the club’s relationship with the factory and its North American organization, plus strengthens our mutual relationships for the future. The second announcement was FCA’s “Bucks Back” program with money saving benefits on discounts from any authorized Ferrari dealer in the US and Canada, driving schools, vehicle lease and transportation companies. The discount from just one service could pay May-June 2010 for your year’s membership, so there’s never been a better reason to be a FCA member. You can also get a personalized Visa credit card with a photo of your Ferrari on it. There is President ’s no annual fee, so why not carry a card that can get more attention than your Black Card? Thirdly, and even more exciting is the initial planning of the FCA’s 50th anniversary in a Message year long, continent-wide celebration beginning in 2012.

WELCOME TO HOCKENHEIM, The Santander German Grand Prix 2014 marks the 34th time since 1970 that motorsports’ premier-class event will be held in Hockenheim. We can proudly speak of an impressive tradition at our racetrack. This success story can be traced back to the fascinating character of the Grand Prix racetrack, even back in days of the legendary slipstream battles along the forested stretch of the old Ring. Today, the 4.574-km-long track offers top speeds of 330 km/h, numerous overtaking opportunities, and a fantastic view of the racing action for the viewers in the grandstands. But the fascination with the Hockenheim Grand Prix goes beyond what happens on the track. A support and entertaining programme that offers the Hockenheimring visitor unequalled thrills and excitement. With numerous autograph sessions, race radio, exclusive competitions, pit walk, track tours and much, much more. And with the countless legendary parties in the camping grounds contributing to the unique atmosphere, no true fan would want to miss out when Formula 1 comes to Hockenheim. The Hockenheimring is a symbol for our region and contributes to the importance of the Rhein-Neckar Metropolregion and Baden-Württemberg’s automotive stronghold in international competition by hosting the FIA Formula 1 World Championship. We look forward to welcoming you all on German asphalt at the 10th Formula 1 race of the 2014 season. Welcome to the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg. Yet, when organizations excessively rely on their potential the outcome may be decision-making failure, particularly when such tools are applied under high pressure and turbulent conditions. Partial understanding and unidimensional interpretation can prevent learning from failure.
