Tallinna Vanalinna Roheline Ring TAANI KUNINGA AED KOMANDANDI AED LINDAMÄGI Linnamüüri kõrval oleval kaheastmelisel alal on Aed paikneb Taani kuninga aiast teisel pool linnamüüri, Rootsi kants ehk Lindamägi ehitati 17. sajandil. Pargiks suured põlispuud. Selle pargi kohta on kaks legendi. Ühe kohaselt olevat 1219. aasta jääb Komandandi tee ja Lühikese jala vahele. Komandandi aed rajati korrastati see 1862. aastal. Lindamäele andis praeguse nime eesti taanlaste vallutusretkel langenud sel kohal taevast alla lipp, mis tõi Taani kuningas 1820-ndail aastail. Algselt paiknes selle kirdeosas viljapuuaed. Nevski kujuri August Weizenbergi 1880. aastal valminud marmorskulptuuri Valdemar II-le lahinguõnne ja millest sai hiljem Taani riigi lipp. Teine legend räägib, kiriku poole jääval müüriosal kasvab väga vana türnpuu, aias on „Linda” pronkskoopia, mis paigutati parki 1920. aastal. Lindamäe et linnamüüri ehitamisel tõusnud tüli aitas lahendada Taani kuningas Erik Menved. suured forsüütiad ning teisi vanu ilusaid puid ja põõsaid. tähelepanuväärseimad puud on ringina paiknevad seitse umbes Tema sekkumise tulemusena ehitati linnamüür sellisena, et sellesse jäi mitte ainult 250 aastast läänepärna. Toompea, vaid ka all-linn. HIRVEPARK TORNIDE VÄLJAK KITSEAED Liigirikas Hirvepark paikneb Lindamäe all endises Tornide väljakul on näha linnamüüris olevad keskaegsed Kitseaed asub Nunne tänava ja Laia tänava vallikraavis, mis täideti 1860. aastate algul mullaga. 1865. aastal rajati aed, vahi- ja kaitsetornid, mis osaliselt on säilinud tänapäevani: Grusbeke tagune torn, Ep- ristumiskohas ühe Toompea paljandi juures. Sellele haljasalale on paigutati kus katsetati võõramaiseid taimeliike ja paljundati ilupuude istikuid. Hirved pingi torn, Plate torn, Köismäe torn, Lippe sadultorn, Loewenschede torn, Nunna- 1930. aastal skulptor Jaan Koorti skulptuur „Metskits“, kuid kuna vandaalid elasid siin 1930. aastatel. Parki püstitati 1968. aastal monument kunstnik detagune torn, Kuldjala torn, Saunatorn ja Nunnatorn. Väljaku Nunne tänava poolses lõhkusid kuju mitmel korral, asendati originaalkuju 1995. aastal koopiaga. Kristjan Rauale, millel on kujutatud stseene eeposest „Kalevipoeg“. osas asub skulptor Juhan Raudsepa 1935. aastal valminud skulptuur „Naine vaagnaga“. Alates 1997. aastast kuulub Tallinna vanalinn UNESCO maailmapärandisse. Toompeal ja TALLINNA selle ümber paikneb 21 parki ja aeda ning kolm muud looduskaitseobjekti – Kelchi pärn VANALINNA Niguliste kiriku juures, Huecki pärnad Lai tn 29 Huecki maja ees ja Toompea paljandid. ROHELINE Vanalinna ümbritseb peaaegu katkematu roheline vöönd. RING Mine parkidesse, kus asuvad fotodel olevad MARGAREETA AED skulptuurid. Kirjuta foto juures olevasse ruutu Margareeta aia ehk Suure Rannavärava bastioni esine vallikraav täideti 19. ja 20. sajandi vahetusel. kuupäev ja kellaaeg, millal selle skulptuuri 1930. aastatel kujundati see ala Anton Soansi kava järgi. Rannavärava mäe Paksu Margareeta poolsele osale püstitati 1996. aastal kaks aastat varem parvlaeva „Estonia“ juures olid. Lisa pargi kirjeldusele üks lause uppumisel hukkunutele mälestusmärk „Katkenud liin“ (skulptor Villu Jaanisoo). sellest, mis Sinu arvates seda parki kõige paremini iseloomustab. Pargi madalamas otsas on pisiaed Aleksander Niine poolt kavandatud purskkaevuga „Poisid delfiiniga“. Photo: Keiti Kljavin Keiti Photo: TAB. at Urban Walk Väike-Õismäe RECYCLING VIRU KESKUS FRANCISCO MARTÍNEZ, Department of Anthropology, Tallinn University In September 2013 the second Tallinn Architecture Biennale (TAB) was organised, this time under the catchy headline ‘Recycling Socialism’. The program was composed of multiple events, such as a symposium (half of the presentations with an arguable interest) and an architectural vision compe- tition reflecting upon the Väike-Õismäe neighbourhood. Additionally several exhibitions (e.g. in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Linnahall), workshops (e.g. Failed Architecture in Rapla), excursions (organised by the Estonian Urban Lab), and informal gatherings (e.g. TAB lounge, Gala…) took place. Having a background in journalism, political economy and anthropology, it won’t be me who judges the technical architectural aspects of the program. I guess I was not invited to do that either. Quite probably the editors of this review want to get an outsider’s opinion; someone who deploys a different approach and raises alternative questions. In that sense, I’m a doppel outsider, a strang- er in the field of urban planning and architecture and a foreigner in Estonia. A colleague of mine told me that the qualitative loop that has occurred from the first to the second edition of Tallinn Architecture Biennale is impres- sive. It is worth a mention that most of this great work was done by a group of architects from an office called b210. A second colleague told me that the curators managed to create a tiger structure almost from nothing, from scratch.

    AASMAA 2018-2020 ARTIST STATEMENT I strongly believe that clothes have the power to shift attitudes in society. My creations try to look at society’s pitfalls through humour and thus find relief on them. The collections I have made focus on breaking prejudice and being able to see at least a tiny bit of beauty in everything. My main focus in the past years has been discussing Estonian-Rus- sian integration topics through fashion. The interesting part in it is the constant change of society. My purpose is to show that by ac- cepting someone else’s culture you don’t have to give up your own traditions. And it’s a two-way-street. My designs are blurring the lines between traditional mens- and womenswear, offering loads of colours, textures and personal experiences. The garments are produced locally using natural but also deadstock materials. This current portfolio showcases the last four bigger projects during the past 2 years. The choice of transport is up to the pilgrim. You can travel on foot or by bicycle. There are places that you can reach by train. The most convenient option is to travel by car, but the areas around the capital have a good network of cycle and pedestrian tracks which is excellent for travelling by bicycle. PILGRIMAGE ROUTES IN EAST HARJUMAA ROUTE Tallinn-Viru Square - Viimsi Peninsula - Maardu - Jõelähtme Municipality - Kuusalu Town - Leesi & Juminda Peninsula - Loksa City - Viinistu Village - Raasiku Town - Pikva Village - Kose Town - Jüri Town - Kostivere - Tallinn Tallinn The pilgrimage to Harjumaa starts in Tallinn, and first of all we recommend heading towards Viimsi Peninsula. You can take bus No. 1 from the bus terminal in Viru Keskus in the heart of Tallinn or go by bicycle, on foot, or by car. When you start your journey, you will first have to use Pirita Road to reach the small town of Haabneeme, and thereafter you travel towards Püünsi. If you travel by bicycle, you can use the bicycle and pedestrian track. The entire Viimsi Peninsula is covered with bicycle and pedestrian tracks and the peninsula is very safe to travel around.
