ABOUT THE ARTISTS: EARL KLUGH It’s no wonder the New York Times proclaims GRAMMY® winner Earl Klugh “…a guitarist with impeccable technique.” His career of more than four decades includes over 200 compositions, more than 30 full-length albums, producing his own events, soundtrack recording and numerous world tours. 23 of his albums are Top Ten charting records – with 5 of those reaching #1 – on Billboard’s Jazz Album charts, selling multi-millions worldwide. Klugh’s work has earned him 12 career GRAMMY® nominations, the most recent for his critically acclaimed release The Spice of Life. He is thrilled to bring his renowned Weekend of Jazz event to Kiawah Island, SC for the first time, after seven successful years – and counting – at the Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs. Come experience Earl Klugh’s first annual Weekend of Jazz at Kiawah Island this November! | www.earlklugh.com FOURPLAY For nearly two decades, the contemporary jazz quartet known as Fourplay has enjoyed consistent artistic and commercial success by grafting elements of R&B, pop and a variety of other sounds to their unwavering jazz foundations. In the course of ten recordings – five of which have climbed to the top of Billboard’s Contemporary Jazz Album charts – the supergroup has continued to explore the limitless dimensions and permutations of jazz while at the same time appealing to a broad mainstream audience. The Fourplay story has always been a dance of contrary energies: the group’s identity, and the characteristics of its members - each one a supreme artist on his own terms. Fourplay features GRAMMY®-winning pianist Bob James, legendary drummer and composer Harvey Mason, world-renowned bassist Nathan East and its newest member, multi-faceted virtuoso guitarist Chuck Loeb. | www.fourplayjazz.com BONEY JAMES Soulful and gifted, three-time GRAMMY® Nominated saxophonist and songwriter Boney James is one of today's most respected and best-selling instrumental artists and performers. James made his debut as a solo artist with Trust in 1992, virtually creating the genre of "urban jazz.” The East Coast-raised and Los Angeles-based artist has not only sold over three million albums--he's earned a string of 12 hit records (including 8 Billboard Contemporary Jazz #1's) and garnered an array of honors: a Soul Train Award for Best Jazz Album, three Grammy nominations--two for Best Pop Instrumental Album and one for Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance--and an NAACP Image Award nomination. Boney James was named as Billboard’s #3 Contemporary Jazz Artist of the Decade (behind Norah Jones and Kenny G.) and the #8 Best-Selling Jazz Artist of the Decade. | www.boneyjames.com KYLE EASTWOOD Jazz provided the soundtrack to bassist/composer Kyle Eastwood’s childhood. The eldest son of actor Clint Eastwood, his annual family outing to the Monterey Jazz Festival and father’s affinity for the genre helped Kyle realize that jazz was his true passion. Kyle worked as a well-respected session player in the 1990’s and released his solo debut From Here to There in 1998. Since then, Kyle has released three critically-acclaimed albums (most recently 2009’s Metropolitan), toured worldwide, and composed music and soundtracks for several Clint Eastwood films, including Flags of Our Fathers, Gran Torino, and Invictus, as well as Academy Award®-winning films Letters from Iwo Jima, Mystic River and Million Dollar Baby. Eastwood received a Golden Globe® nomination for Best Original Song in a Motion Picture for Gran Torino. | www.kyleeastwood.com JESSY J With her debut CD Tequila Moon on Peak Records, vocalist/saxophonist Jessy J had one of the most successful recordings in Contemporary Jazz of 2008, with the title track named #1 Song of the Year by both Billboard and Radio & Records. Jessy’s sophomore release True Love features the single “Tropical Rain” which hit a sweet spot at #1 for an incredible 3 months on the Smooth Jazz Top 20 countdown. Jessy has been hailed as a “unique voice with a gift for melodic improvisation” (All Music Guide); “flawless” (Jazz Times); “increasing the boundaries of jazz both musically and demographically” (JAZZIZ); and “revolutionizing jazz” as a young Latina by People Español. Prior to her solo success, Jessy supported artists onstage including The Temptations, Michael Bolton, Jessica Simpson, Gloria Trevi, and recorded with Michael Buble. | www.jessyj.com JOE GRANSDEN Trumpeter/vocalist/composer/big-band leader Joe Gransden’s many talents have been heard around the world. From touring with the big bands of Tommy Dorsey and Glenn Miller, to recordings through the American Federation of Musicians for Barry White, the Temptations and Aretha Franklin, to his own eight album releases, Joe Gransden has already had a prolific career. He currently resides in Atlanta performing regularly throughout the southeastern United States with his own group. Joe’s latest release Close To My Heart is produced by saxophone great Kenny G, who reflects, “Joe Gransden is one of those rare musicians that has it all. He is an incredible instrumentalist with the technique of a virtuoso. His imagination lets him improvise as well as anyone on the planet and yet he retains a sense of melody that lets listeners of all musical tastes enjoy his wonderful playing…” | www.joegransden.com JOHN MAHAFFEY PGA Tour Professional and golf commentator John Mahaffey has accumulated 10 PGA Tour victories including a PGA Championship, and numerous others during his illustrious career as a professional golfer. Mahaffey had back-to-back Top 10 finishes in the 1975 and 1976 US Open, a top 10 finish at the 1981 Masters, played on the 1979 US Ryder Cup team and won the 1970 NCAA Men’s Championship a year before he turned pro. Mahaffey joined the Senior PGA Tour in 1998 (now known as the Champions Tour) and serves as a commentator for the Golf Channel as well as various venues on the Champions Tour. He looks forward to participating in the Celebrity Golf Outing at Weekend of Jazz Kiawah Island in 2010. New York Avenue, Atlantic City, New Jersey AP WORLD An 501c-3, tax deductible organization built on the legacy of a beloved son, doing our part to strengthen families and inspire communities during difficult times. Professional basketball player, DeAndre’ Bembry of the Toronto Raptors, launched AP World in memory of his brother, Adrian Potts. Adrian celebrated his brothers’ accomplishments and planned to be sitting alongside DeAndre’ to watch the NBA draft on June 23, 2016. Adrian helped plan the draft party with their mother, Essence. Essence dedicated her life to helping her sons achieve success and was devastated when she received the dreaded phone call no parent ever wants to hear. In the early morning of June 11, 2016 literally days before the much-anticipated draft, Essence received the tragic news from Adrian’s father. Her 20-year-old, ambitious, fun-loving and tenacious son, was shot and killed near the University of North Carolina, Charlotte campus. This tragedy had a shocking and paralyzing effect on the Bembry family. Knowing where to find support and assistance while planning a funeral service, dealing with unimaginable grief and the reality of life without a son, brother and best friend, were overwhelming for Essence and DeAndre’. This family tragedy served as the catalyst for DeAndre’ to develop a support system that could be an anchor and a resource hub for other families who may have to take a similar journey through grief.

AIAC – A Look Into Planetary Death Places - III ©Ancient Indian Astrology Classes Page 1 AIAC – A Look Into Planetary Death Places - III Case Studies Mars in the 7 th . House – The karaka of the 7H is Venus and the house signifies marriage and partnership. The natural seventh sign is Libra which deals with equality (in marriage) and balance. Mars is the karaka of the 6H of celibacy and service. In the 7H, it will bring in ego and battles. War is fine with enemies but not in marriage. Adjustment is the key to a successful marriage and ego has no place in this house. Mars is the planet of individuality, the primary significator of Agni Tattwa. Mars being in 7H, the person’s adjustment capabilities will surely be questioned. The ripples of such a placement of Mars will be felt in the houses whose karaka is Mars – 3H, 6H. One has to carefully note a few points before he/she reaches any conclusion on planetary death places. The points are mentioned below – 1) Shadbala of planets 2) Association of benefics, malefic, lagna lord, Moon and Sun 3) Aspects – malefic aspects only will create havoc, if unaspected or benefic(s) aspect then there will be no/negligible damage to the karakwatta of the planet Mars in 7H Cases Case I – Clint Eastwood In case of Clint Eastwood, Mars is placed in maranasthana in mooltrikona sign of Aries with Rahu. The karaka of 7H Venus is with Jupiter in the 9H. Relationship problems related to adjustment issues will surface in his life and there will invariably be separation from spouse, if married.

Das Sextett: Manu Katche: drums, vocals; Ellen Andrea Wang: upright bass, vocals; Jim (James) Watson: acoustic piano, keyboards; Tore Brunborg: saxophones; Luca Aquino: trumpet; Nils Landgren: trombone (1, 2, 7, 11);Abraham Rodriguez Mansfarroll: percussion (1);Joel Hierrezuelo Balart: percussion (1); Inor Esteban Sotolongo: percussion (1). Fourplay | das leichte Heavy Weight Wenn eine Formation das 25. Jahr ihres Bestehens feiern kann und darüber hinaus als eine der perfektesten im temporären Jazz gilt, dann zählt sie zweifellos zu den musikalischen Schwergewichten. Zeichnet sich das gesamte Repertoire, derzeit auf über 14 Alben veröffentlicht, durch eine sagenhafte Leichtigkeit aus, dann sprechen wir von Fourplay.
