Punimet pranohen nga të gjitha fushat. Ato duhen të jenë të redaktuara mirë, pa gabime drejtshkrimore e pikësimi dhe me abstrakt në shqip e anglisht. 1 Cdo punim duhet të përmbajë gjetje e përvoja të reja në fushën përkatëse, përfundimet ose rekomandimet dhe literaturën e përdorur. Autorët mbajnë përgjegjësi të plotë për cdo lloj plagjiature dhe për gabimet gramatikore në shqip e anglisht. Ata duhet t’i ruajnë të dhënat eksperimentale dhe t’ia paraqesin Bordit botues, nëse u kërkohen. Shkrimi duhet të jetë i qartë, i kuptueshëm, konciz dhe korrekt nga ana gjuhësore. It is a short historic view of this genre, where the most essential points of formation of which are touched, from the first novel to the contemporary. Trying to give a glimpse of the story of the Albanian novel, besides beginning the cultivation of this genre in our literature, we have also talked about the novel written during our national and post-Renaissance period, about the novel written after the end of the Second World War, the Albanian novel, written and published in Kosovo, as well as the novel written in Albania after the collapse of the dictatorial communist system. So we tried to include almost all literary and historical periods, so that our brief panorama is more clear and comprehensive. In a word, we tried to make a genre history that is great for studying our literature, especially the Albanian novel. Keywords: Albanian novel, brief overview, genre history, comprehensive overview 1. Introduction The formalist researcher, Mikhail Bahtin considers the novel as the only genre always being in the process of developing, and never as a completed one.”ii According to this point of view, however, we can say that even our novel is a literary structure that is taking shape differently every day.

    I N T E R N A T I O NA L CO N F E R E N C E RCIC’19 Redefining Community in Intercultural Context Vlora, 2-4 May 2019 EMPATHY, SYMPATHY AND DEMONIZATION OF THE OTHER IN THE BALKAN LITERATURES Mariglena MEMINAJ Departament of Albanian Language and Literature ‘Ismail Qemali’ University, Vlora, Albania Abstract: The profile of the other in the Balkans literatures is as special and complex as its projection onto real life has been through the region’s history. Since the Balkans itself has been a bridge between East and West, being ‘the other’ in relation to Europe and part of it simultaneously, the concepts of self and the other reveal as specific in the Balkans literatures.In these literatures, the other has been the alien, the invader, who came either from a powerful empire or from ‘beyond the fence’—the neighbour, the similar but also the different one all at once. In most cases, this ‘other’ exerted all its influence to spread their culture and, either when being part of an empire or merely a neighbour, cohabited with them for such long periods as to strive to undo the features of their identity. The present paper aims to highlight some features of ‘the other’ in the Balkans literature that make it essentially unique and (considering the work of albanian and serbian prose writers) which, in relation to self, appears in diverse and often opposite positions: it has been demonized at times, but empathised or even sympathised at pthers, and, as everything else of the Balkans, is depicted in strong colours and contrasts, yet essentially similar.

Pallati i Radios, kati III Tel: 038 225 566- local 220 6 PARATHËNIE Studimi i sonetit në poezinë shqipe, ka qenë një preokupim i hershëm imi, që nga vitet 1986-1989, kur i kam studiuar sonetet e Ndre Mjedjes, sepse që atëherë kam qenë i bindur se studimi i kësaj forme poetike jep një pamje esenciale të evoluimit dhe të strukturës së vargut shqip. Mirëpo, për shkak të përmbysjeve të mëdha që sollën vitet nëntëdhjetë, puna ime në këtë projekt pati ndërprerje dhe u mbajt në këmbë me një ritëm tepër të ngadaltë. Këtij projekti studimor iu riktheva me përqendrimin e duhur vetëm pas vitit 2001, kur u miratua si tezë e doktoranturës në Fakultetin e Filologjisë të Universitetit të Prishtinës. Idetë e hershme dhe materialet e mbledhura nëpër vite, qenë një ndihmesë e jashtëzakonshme, për ta intensifikuar punën në këtë projekt dhe për të sublimuar rezultatet e punës studimore për një periudhë dyvjeçare. Mirëpo, finalizimit të këtij projekti, sërish i dolën ngatërresa në rrugë, të cilat jo vetëm e shtynë mbrojtjen publike të tij për dy vjet të plota, por ndikuan që të bëja edhe disa plotësime sasiore të studimit, si dhe disa ndryshime metodologjike, të cilat nuk më ishin dukur shumë domethënëse për trajtim. 7 Versioni që po botohet, ka përjetuar disa shkurtime, që janë të natyrshme. Por, pamja e përftuar e sonetit në poezinë shqipe, besoj se mbetet mjaft e plotë dhe paraqet një pikënisje thelbësore edhe për studimet e mëtejshme në këtë lëmi.

    STUDIA ALBANICA 2016/2 Matteo MANDALÀ ISMAIL KADARE TRA LA VERITÀ DELL’ARTE E L’INGANNO DELLA REALTÀ 6.– L’inverno del “loro” scontento (1973-1975) Per ammissione di Kadare, suffragata dalla moglie Helena, tra la fine degli anni Sessanta e i primi del decennio successivo, nell’opificio dello studioso erano in lavorazione più progetti, dei quali soltanto i due di cui ci siamo appena occupati riuscirono a vedere la luce, mentre la definitiva stesura degli altri e la loro pubblicazione – vuoi a causa delle coercizioni esterne, vuoi per una deliberata scelta dello scrittore –, furono procrastinate ben oltre la seconda metà degli anni ’70, quando in rapida successione apparvero riuniti in diverse raccolte nella forma di racconti brevi1. Tra questi ultimi meritano una menzione speciale due romanzi che, pur ispirati da vicende “moscovite”, per motivi diversi hanno ricoperto un ruolo molto importante per il futuro dell’opera e, si aggiunga, della vita di Kadare. Il primo è Muzgu i perëndive të stepës, che nel 1970 (dunque prima della pubblicazione di Kronikë) era già quasi ultimato2. La sua importanza è notevole perché, rievocando dalla medesima prospettiva critica l’altra tappa fondamentale della formazione del giovane artista, si configura come il naturale continuatore di Kronikë: se in quest’ultimo veniva rivisitata l’esperienza estetica primigenia e intuitiva preadolescenziale, in Muzgu saranno discussi con sagace maturità e anche con particolare gusto surreale per il grottesco alcuni paradigmi fondamentali dell’arte narrativa modernista, quali i concetti di tempo e di spazio, il ruolo 1 Helena Kadare, Kohë e pamjaftueshme. The historical background Being at the crossroads between various spheres of culture has never been a gain to the Albanians as one might have expected. An Albanian national culture and literature1 was late to develop and had enormous difficulty asserting itself between the Catholic Latin civilization of the Adriatic coast, the venerable Orthodox traditions of the Greeks, Serbs and Bulgarians and the sophisticated Islamic culture of the Ottoman Empire. First non-literary traces of written Albanian are known from the 15th century, e. g. Bishop Paulus ’ baptismal formula of November 8, 1462. Beginning with the Missal (Meshari) of Gjon Buzuku2 in 1555, the early Albanian literature of the 16th and 17th century with its primarily religious focus might have provided a foundation for literary creativity in the age of the Counter- Reformation under the somewhat ambiguous patronage of the Catholic Church, had not the banners of Islam soon been unfurled on the eastern horizons. After years of gathering the exotic blossoms of Albanian verse and translating them into a more widely understood idiom, Alexandre Zotos, professor at the University of Saint- Etienne, now presents us with what is one of the most comprehensive and enjoyable anthologies of Albanian poetry to have appeared in any language (including Albanian) up to the present day. Zotos, among ’ leading translators from the Albanian, has published prose versions of Ismail Kadare and Dritëro Agolli, as well as a number of anthologies of Albanian literature, including Anthologie de la prose albanaise, Paris 1984 (see WLT 59:3 p. 472), La poésie albanaise, Les cahiers de poésie-rencontres 26, Lyons 1989, and Voix albanaises dans la nuit, Aires 13, Saint Etienne 1991. The present collection would seem, however, to be the crowning achievement of his many years of dedication to an as yet underestimated European culture. In its nine chapters, the Anthologie de la poésie albanaise offers an extremely wide spectrum of Albanian verse from the beginnings to the present day, including an introductory text to each section and author. The first chapter, Au commencement était le peuple, is devoted exclusively to oral verse (41 poems) from Albania, Kosovo, southern Italy and Greece, including the heroic Songs of the Frontier Warriors (këngë kreshnikesh), historical and legendary verse, poems of conscription and emigration, of love and marriage, popular ballads on birth and funerary chants. Chapter two, Les pères fondateurs, provides a good selection of the early Catholic authors of the 17th and 18th centuries: Pjetër Budi, Pjetër Bogdani, Nikollë Brankati, Nikollë Filja, Nikollë Keta and Jul Variboba.
