Randolph High School In February, Randolph High School worked on getting a student Unified Basketball game set up during unit lunch. Unfortunately, there was a last minute conflict with the gym. They continued to play basket- ball and work with their lunch buddies. It was a great Unified month. Office of Special Education Programs Page 2 U.S. Department of Education School Highlights February / March 2020 Kingsway Regional High School The Kingsway Unified Club has expanded to 63 members and met twice in February during their “SMART” lunch period to play team building games and to build friendships. The students can be seen chatting around campus, cheering each other on and creating strong friendships. The Unified Bowling team continued this month and competed in the NJSIAA tournament and a Unified tournament at Bowlero hosted by Clayton High School. Kingsway Regional High School has eight athletes and five partners on their team this year. They also now have 12 students involved in the Renaissance Pro- gram, where they interact with over 700 students at Kingsway! They went to “Dave and Busters,” watched a movie in the theater. They got together with the National Honors Society Club to make candy goodie bags for elementary and middle school students in Newark, NJ. The students organized the donated candy, put it in the goodie bags, and ate lunch together. It was nice for the Unified club to work with another club in the school to help introduce not only their group, but all of the students, to new people and new environments. The kids ate candy and had a great time. Lyndhurst came to Rutherford High School on 2/15 to prac- tice and play games with the boys basketball team. The team captain led the group in warm up exercises and practicing ball- handling skills. The athletes were paired with students from both Lyndhurst and
