Interestingly, the German firm says the Gran Coupé is expected to make up over half of 8 Series volumes. According to BMW, about 60 examples of the M8 leave the Dingolfing facility every day, with each vehicle undergoing a final quality inspection on the plant’s break-in course prior to delivery. The company says its sports coupé’s biggest sales are expected to come from the United States, with “well over a third of all units likely to be sold there”.
