STEWARDS SUMMARY of PENALTIES Page | 1 STEWARDS SUMMARY OF PENALTIES 2015 V8 SUPERCARS CHAMPIONSHIP – RACES 21, 22 & 23 Document No: SE04 “Sydney Motorsport Park SuperSprint” Sydney Motorsport Park, Eastern Creek, New South Wales. 21st to 23rd August 2015. Stewards Summary Update 3 FINAL: Sunday, 23 August 2015 at 18:55hrs. Sunday 23rd August, 2015 Qualifying for Race 23 Following an investigation and an admission of a breach of Rule D 12.7.3 (Use of Equipment/Tools) by Triple Eight Race Engineering Pty Ltd (a metal ruler falling from Car #888 during the session), the Stewards imposed a penalty of a fine of $3000 and the Loss of 30 Teams Championship Points on Triple Eight Race Engineering Pty Ltd. Race 23 Pit Lane Penalties were imposed as follows: On Car #34, David Wall, for a driving infringement, causing contact with Car #7 Todd Kelly on Lap 1; On Car #34, David Wall, for a Pit Lane infringement, failing to stop at Pit Exit for Red light during the Safety Car period; On Car #4, Ash Walsh, for a Safety Car restart infringement, overtaking Car #14 Fabian Coulthard, before the Control Line. Post-race investigations were conducted into the following incidents and no breach of the rules was established: Contact between Car #97, Shane van Gisbergen, and Car #8, Jason Bright; Incident where Car #8, Jason Bright, short cut the circuit. Following an investigation and an admission of Careless Driving by Car #47, Tim Slade (causing contact with Car #21, Dale Wood, at Turn 1), the Stewards imposed a Penalty of the loss of 15 Championship points on Tim Slade. The Stewards received and accepted a Protest from Prodrive Racing Australia in relation to the incident involving contact between Car #888 Craig Lowndes, and Car #5, Mark Winterbottom at Turn 2. (Rule B 4.4.1.6). This Protest will be heard and determined at the next round of the Championship. Saturday 22nd August, 2015 Practice – Part 3 There were no issues. Qualifying for Race 21 There were no issues. P a g e | 1 INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY – NO REGULATORY VALUE STEWARDS SUMMARY OF PENALTIES Qualifying for Race 22 There were no issues Race 21 Following an investigation and an admission of careless driving by Car #222 Nick Percat (causing contact with Car #21 Dale Wood) the Stewards imposed a penalty of the Loss of 25 Championship Points on Nick Percat. Following an investigation and an admission of reckless driving by Car #21 Dale Wood (causing contact with Car #222 Nick Percat, post-race) the Stewards imposed a penalty of the Loss of 35 Championship Points on Dale Wood. Post-race investigations were conducted into the following incidents and no breach of the rules was established: Incident involving contact between Car #8 Jason Bright, with Car #15 Rick Kelly; Incident involving contact between Car #2 Garth Tander, with Car #8 Jason Bright. Race 22 There were no issues. Friday 21st August, 2015. Matters arising from Practice – Additional Driver The Stewards imposed a fine of $350 on Steven Richards, Car #888, for exceeding Pit Lane speed limit at Pit Entry (47 kph) at 1037hrs. (Rule D12.4.3). Matters arising from Practice Part 1 The Stewards imposed a fine of $350 on Jamie Whincup, Car #1, for exceeding Pit Lane speed limit at Pit Entry (46 kph) at 1149hrs. (Rule D12.4.3). Matter arising from Practice Part 2 There were no issues. Matter arising from Meeting Rides Following an investigation and an admission by James Moffat, Car #99, that he breached Rule E 1.3.6, (Practice starts are not permitted during Meeting rides) the Stewards imposed the penalty of a fine of $ 5,000, $ 2,500 of which is suspended, upon James Moffat. GB Galvanizing M Motorsport Preview Rnd#2 Australian GT Championship presented by Pirelli (Clipsal, Adelaide SA) 26 February, 2013 After an outstanding debut to his 2013 national GT campaign, dual Victorian Sportscar State Champion Justin McMillan heads to round two of the Australian GT Championship presented by Pirelli, on the daunting streets of Adelaide, but as he showed during round one at Bathurst, he’s not daunted by the big stage.. “There’s no denying that there was some level of trepidation heading to Bathurst for the first time, but we went with an experienced crew, with two experienced drivers, and the goal of completing laps,” McMillan admitted. “In the end we achieved what we set out to achieve, and came out of Bathurst placed fifth in the championship heading to Adelaide, but where I had Richo [Steven Richards] and Ross [Lilley] to pace myself against there, I’m on my own in Adelaide, and I can’t wait..!” From opening practice at Mount Panorama the GB Galvanizing Gallardo LP600 was quick, and for experienced Bathurst veteran Steven Richards, he was impressed by McMillan’s pace, but also his eagerness to listen and learn. “Justin drove brilliantly all weekend,” the new AGT DSO [driving standards observer] agreed. “He paced himself early and got quicker and quicker as the weekend wore on. Had we not suffered the gearbox issue, we could well have been inside the top five, so to debut that way, and come away from an event that was as difficult to negotiate as any I’ve ever contested with a straight car, was an almost perfect result.” Justin’s debut on the streets of Adelaide won’t be the M Motorsport teams only debut for the weekend, with new partners Interlloy Engineering Steels and Alloys and FUCHS Lubricants joining existing supporters GB Galvanizing, Strategy One Human Resources and Australian Post Tensioning for the first time at Clipsal.

The agreement, which has been almost a year in the making since its initial concept in early 2011, is a reality with the newly formed team operating under a Customer Sports Program of AMG. The announcement was made in Melbourne today by Stone Brothers Racing owner Ross Stone, Erebus Motorsport owner Betty Klimenko, Erebus Motorsport CEO Ryan Maddison and V8 Supercar Chairman Tony Cochrane. Erebus Motorsport has been dominant in the Australian GT category with Mercedes-AMG’s SLS AMG GT3 race car. Stone Brothers Racing this morning announced it will be ending its partnership with Ford after a relationship that began when the team was first formed in 1998 and won three Championships with Marcos Ambrose and Russell Ingall. The amicable split paved the way for the Erebus merger. “Since SBR’s inception in 1998 Ford has backed the team and together we have enjoyed many successes including three Championship wins - two with Marcos Ambrose in 2003 and 2004, and again with Russell Ingall in 2005. We also won Bathurst with Jason Bright and Steven Richards in 1998,” Stone said.

Following a post-race DRD investigation into a report received from Supercars Technical during the Race, and an admission by Matt Stone Racing Pty Ltd, that during its compulsory pit stop, Car 35’s brake lock mechanism was not engaged in compliance with Rule C11.4.2.1, the Stewards imposed a fine of $250 on Matt Stone Racing Pty Ltd. Following a post-race DRD investigation (instigated following a request received from Blanchard Racing) and an admission of a breach of the Code of Driving Conduct by Car 2, Bryce Fullwood, the Stewards imposed a penalty of the addition of 5 seconds to the Race Time of Car 2 in Race 19.

With his third place finish in Malaysia mid-October, seconds behind Bautista at the chequered flag, it was Simoncelli who was crowned the 2008 250cc champion and the Italian celebrated by completing a helmet-less victory lap around the track. Simoncelli has scored five wins to Bautista's four so far this year, but the Italian has consistently finished on the podium. Mid-season he was on devastating form, finishing second to Mika Kallio in France, and then winning the Spanish and German Grands Prix, finishing second in Britain, and third at the Dutch Grand Prix. Bautista had fallen far behind by the time the bikes lined up in Spain, having scored one win, but just 16 more points in the Mike di Meglio wins the Australian 125cc race and Dunlop's 12th straight category title opening six races.
