Air Power Studies Centre Paper Number 82 A Strategic Tanker/Transport Force for the ADF (Draft 1.21) Carlo Kopp March 2000 ISBN 0 642 26553 4 THE AIR POWER STUDIES CENTRE The Air Power Studies Centre was established by the Royal Australian Air Force at its Fairbairn Base in August 1989 at the direction of the Chief of the Air Staff. Its function is to promote a greater understanding of the proper application of air power within the Australian Defence Force and in the wider community. This is being achieved through a variety of methods including development and revision of indigenous doctrine, the incorporation of that doctrine into all levels of RAAF training, and increasing the level of air power awareness across the broadest possible spectrum.
