Some reflections on our last event: Our last event, the Heurige combined with the Austrian-American Day was, in spite of a cool and rainy evening, a great success. We thank our Vice Dr. Heinz Grohs and his wife Dawn for arranging and donating the fee for the pavilion in Manchester-by-the-Sea, which was so fitting for a "echten Heurigen". Dawn was especially helpful in setting up the tables with the red-white-red theme, just perfect to enjoy the wonderful food Renate and her committee treated us to. And the cakes from Andreas - beautiful and delicious as usual!! Of course, the Austrian wine from Rosmarie Scully and Helmut Colbath, who also donated a case of Zierfandler, gave the event the perfect touch. All flowers were provided by Dawn's mother, Mrs. Henderson, who generously let us take them home. Didi, as the organizer for this event, did an excellent job providing all necessary details and introducing us to Hermine Horner, who delighted us with her Austrian poems. A musical feast was Susanne Friedrich's Vienna Waltz Ensemble, playing to perfection our most favorite and cherished Austrian songs. Thanks to everyone who helped us make it a great evening!
