VDP.ORTSWEIN RIESLING 2020 VDP.ORTSWEIN ZELLERTAL RIESLING 2020

The Zellertal is a valley region in the east of the CAPACITY Nordpfälzer Bergland in Rhineland-. For the 0,75 L most part, this unique wine-growing region belongs to the Palatinate, with only the small eastern part of this CLOSURE picturesque region belonging to Rheinhessen. The NATURKORK narrow, rugged valley with its vineyards shaped by limestone has always been a region where special wines ALCOHOL were cultivated. The manorial estates along the , 12,5 % VOL. which, like the Eisbach, rises in the Donnersberg district, also bear witness to the successful wine trade. SWEETNESS Hans Oliver Spanier recognised the uniqueness of these 3,0 G/L special vineyards early on. Driven by the conviction to give his wines not only a signature but also an origin, he ACIDITY has successively pushed ahead with the acquisition and 7,0 G/L cultivation of these vineyards. In addition to the FRAUENBERG and the ZELLERWEG AM SCHWARZEN MATURATION HERRGOTT, we have now also been cultivating vineyards LARGE WOODEN on the Palatinate side for more than 12 years, such as the BARRELS ZELLER KREUZBERG, which we put up for the VDP auction in Bad Kreuznach for the first time with the 2017 vintage. Our first work from the Palatinate: 2020 ZELLERTAL Riesling, expressive and casual, a homage to a unique wine landscape. This wine comes from the younger vineyards next to our auction vineyard of the Kreuzberg site - a very special spot of limestone rock! At the same time, it makes you feel emphatically why the Zellertal is THE hotspot of the last few years. The perfect symbiosis of the cooler Rheinhessen marries with the power of the Pfalz. Fine, reductive tension leads to an ideal balance of grippy, salty energy and vibrating, fine fruit. The coolness of the Zellertal is impressively interpreted here and allows you to immerse yourself in this wine region full of tension.
