Royal Enfield Continental GT Being Given Its Head on the Brooklands Banking by the Editor QUICKSPIN Stunning image of the Royal Enfield Continental GT being given its head on the Brooklands banking by the editor. It couldn't hae been a more eclectic venue than Brooklands to launch the first all-new Royal Enfield in six decades! ROYAL ENFIELD CONTINENTAL GT CULTURE CAFE ON TWO-WHEELS Straight modern blast from the past seems an anachronism but it best illustrates how well Royal Enfield has conjured up its first all-new motorcycle in over 60 years! Adil Jal Darukhanawala swings a leg aboard one of the very first of these biggest of big Indian singles to put the spanking new and absolutely smashing Continental GT through its paces at Brooklands, the spiritual home of British motorsport and beyond. The Bonnie undergoes numerous and significant upgrades to its engine, gearbox, transmission and frame (after toying with a duplex design, Triumph instead made a larger diameter downtube to combat wobble and weave). A special TT model (T120C/TT) is produced until 1967 for the USA, due to the encouragement of Bill Johnson, of Johnson Motors ("Jo-Mo"). This is a stripped-down racing model, only made until 1966 for the US market. • Content List Omnibus
The Omnibus Edition Omnibus Noun ~ a volume containing several books previously published separately Oxford Dictionary Anyone who has seen my CDs and DVDs over the years will know they are a wonderful collection of data for the classic-era motorcycle enthusiast, all gathered together in one place. But I have always had some material which did not fit into one of my big-name collections (BSA, Norton, Triumph) and this material was not enough on its own to devote a new DVD to. As my Lucas/Amal and AJS/Matchless collections needed updating and reprinting, I have taken the decision to combine them into one disk, and add all the extra so-far- unpublished material I have. It includes material, but not everything , on Velocette, Vincent, Royal Enfield and others. Let me be clear on that, the non-LUCAS and non-AJS/MATCHLESS collections here are not as comprehensive as those on the big-name DVDs, so read the attached list carefully before you buy, to see if it suits your needs. And, if you have something I don’t, and would like to let me have a copy to extend this work, drop me an email at < [email protected] >. I am always looking for more material to add to make these disks as complete as possible. A word on piracy. I ask you not to pirate anything on this DVD. Note that the files herein have been created by me and are my intellectual property. But the MAIN reason I hope you won’t pirate anything is that, in the end, it would drive me out of the business of gathering and improving this one-stop collection, and that would be a loss for all of us.
