LLC MBA, AEA FROM THE WRITER’S DESK LOVE, DREAMS & DESTINY! A story about twin flames like you have never seen before. Bubbly Brown Sugar is a groundbreaking original series that tells the story of two soulmates meeting in their dreams and their parallel journeys to finding each other upon waking up. The series tackles real life issues in meaningful ways that are powerful, down to earth and hot, while also playing with fan- tasy and the power of the imagination. THE SERIES LINKS [WEBSITE] [TRAILER] [CONCEPT] [RED CARPET] Logline Bubbly Brown Sugar shows the parallel journey of two soulmates, Jewel Patterson and Caleb Johnson, who are meet- ing in their dreams and what they each go through to find each other in real life. Synopsis Bubbly Brown Sugar is a long-form narrative series that follows the parallel journey of two soulmates – Jewel and Caleb – and the events that lead to their pre-destined meeting. Bubbly Brown Sugar oscillates between their waking reality and a shared dream world. It is in this dreamlike reality that our two central characters experience an unbridled connection so powerful that it impacts every decision of their conscious lives. Unknown to each other in the physical world, this surreal microcosm is the only environment that we see these two characters together. As the series alternates between Jewel and Caleb, synchronicities start to emerge as their souls grow more determined in their quest to find the other half and explores the notion that there is a higher purpose to all things, including our pain. Director’s Statement by Tamala Baldwin Divine love is the heart behind all my work. I believe the embodiment of Love can serve as the catalyst for creating a new world that transcends the experience of fear, suffering and separateness. Love is something we all want and dream of, yet millions of us suffer until our last days. Why is that? Why do so many of us have broken hearts when they are designed for carrying immense light and immeasurable propensities of love? I believe it is because many of us are unaware that there is more to the other side of pain. We each go through the wilderness or an initiation that is meant to propel our souls to another level of being, taking the scripture “all things work together for good” to an entirely new level. We see the ideal and our hearts desire through the dream state of our central characters. We also see the work they each must invest to receive what they already know exists but still remains unseen. Bubbly Brown Sugar is my first endeavor in teaching those how to consciously create through a scripted fictional episodic film. A^ü. i REPRESENTATIVE DIRECTORS, BLACK THEATRE PRODUCTIONS, AND PRACTICES AT HISTORICALLY BLACK COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES 1968-1978 Alex C. Marshall A Dissertation Submitted to the Graduate College of Bowling Green State University in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY March 1980 Approved by Doctoral Committee: Graduate College„Representative il ABSTRACT This investigation described the status of Black Theatre productions and practices at four year historically Black Colleges and Universities with degree programs in Speech and Drama, Speech and Theatre, or Communi cations. The objectives of this study were: (1) to profile the directors and their production philosophies and practices; (2) to chronicle and categorize Black plays produced during 1968-1978; (3) to characterize the practices in theatre management and (4) to describe trends, and chart some implications from the data collected. Primary data for this study was obtained from mailed questionnaires and thirty-two audio recorded interviews with theatre practitioners at the 43rd National Association of Dramatic and Speech Arts (NADSA) Convention in Chicago, Illinois, on April 4-7, 1979. Thirty-six questionnaires were mailed and thirty (83%) were returned; twenty-four (66%) were usable for this investigation. Results of the study revealed that the directors were academically trained, experienced, of varying ages, Black, male dominated, and dedicated The absence of women as theatre directors suggested areas for study to clarify the reasons for this situation. Respondents believed that productions should be primarily enter taining which suggested their having traditional responses to the function of art that has been assailed by the proponents of the Black Arts Movement who call for art as a political influence.

These lessons, skillfully delivered by our coordinators, ultimately teach students that they are accountable for their future. In turn, we’ve discovered and addressed the deeper issues teens face every day such as self-esteem and body image, drugs and addiction, and social media loneliness. Our mission has since flourished, to not only serve our youth’s physical and mental health, but empower them and their communities to be resilient in their efforts to enjoy healthier, happier lives. This is what we’ve gathered this evening to celebrate, at our 12th Annual Garden Gala. Your support is cultivating new programs and initiatives for us to ensure our youth is receiving the guidance they deserve. Through such programs, we have impacted over 3 million students since 2003.
