Fresh off the facelift of its iconic Cream Ale in February, the Genesee Brewery is getting ready to add to that portfolio.
The state's oldest brewery launched its new Lemon Strawberry Cream Ale this week. The new beer uses the original cream ale recipe as the base, then adds natural lemon and strawberry flavors. It follows an ever-growing national trend to add fruit and other flavorings to beers of all kinds -- from IPAs to stouts.

'Tha Juice', the 11th track on our latest record, instantly became the name of our collaboration with Hellwtown Brewing. During our visit there we had exchanged a few ideas of titles and flavors that might pair well and would match our aesthetic, and although each of them sounded good, none of them stood out as something we considered unique to the experience. After mentioning 'Tha Juice' and the lyrics and story behind it, it clicked immediately. The drink itself (often referred to as The Juice), would be a bitter but crisp, semi light, New England IPA, and through its flavor profiles would perfectly embody the spirit and narrative of the song. I believe that when people drink it and listen to the track, the multilateral experience of every note, word, and sip will be heightened. "Starship Mantis"

GOOSE ISLAND WORKING ON CHRISTMAS IPA CA NS
Christmas IPA is a malt forward IPA using 6 different hops throughout the process. Subtle stone fruit and wood notes balance with caramel malt on the palate dry hopped with Meridian, Ahtanum and Cashmere.
It’s got a bit of an old school feel on the malt side with caramel malt and a lovely red hue to go with the classic kettle hop backbone. Nicely balanced and dry this little number dons a big fruity aroma.

DE DEVILS BACKBONE D ANZIG BALTIC PORTER
Danzig, which we named after a Baltic Sea town, isn’t for the faint of heart…or mouth. It’s a well-balanced, full-bodied blend of a strong English porter and a Germanic black lager, making it smooth with a sneaky high ABV.
The intense mix of malts and hops provides flavors of chocolate, coffee, and caramelized sugar. No wonder it won Bronze in the World Beer Cup 2018. It’s full-on! Hence the lightning bolt on the pack.
