They’ll be rac- ing in the Maxxis Eastern States Cup Enduro World Series Qualifier at Arrowhead Recreation Area. George Ulmer of Eastern States Cup reported that 80 to 100 of the racers will be in the pro category. They’ll be competing for $2,000 spread between men and women in first to fifth places. But as Ulmer noted, “It's not about the money, it's about qualifying for Enduro World Series events.” By winning points at races, riders can go on to increasingly challenging events, as classed in three tiers in a global ranking system. Amateur and novice racers make up the rest of the Arrowhead race entrants. Other Enduro World Series races in 2021 will take place in Italy, France, Switzerland and Great Britain. That now there’s one in Claremont attests to the quality of the Arrowhead course. How an Enduro Came to Claremont Rob Walker is the general manager of Claremont Cycle Depot and a member of the Claremont Parks and Recreation Commission. He’s been an avid biker since age 10, and a serious rider and racer for nearly 20 years.

GLUTEN-FREE PRODUCTS SHOPPING LIST The items on this shopping list, to the best of our knowledge, are made without gluten or any ingredients derived from gluten-containing grains, such as wheat, barley, rye, spelt or kamut. It is possible that products labeled gluten-free may come into contact with gluten during manufacturing. However, with the current FDA guidelines, any product labeled gluten-free should have less than 20 parts per million (ppm), which is considered a safe amount for most individuals following a gluten-free diet. People who have celiac disease and individuals who are exquisitely sensitive may still have a reaction to foods with measurable, although tiny, amounts of gluten. In this case, it is helpful to find companies that produce products in a dedicated gluten-free facility or that are part of a certification program. 1898 - 1912 1975 - 2021 Welcome! The Orange Country Fair Committee would like to welcome you all back to the fair this year. We have missed you all as we could not hold our annual fair last year. The decision not to hold the fair (the first time since 1975) was an incredibly difficult decision but we had to consider the health and safety of both our volunteers and patrons. The Fair Committee has been working throughout the year trying to make plans for this fall, but this has not been an easy time. As such, the fair may have a slightly different look and feel from previous years. We recognize that the State of Connecticut is emerging from the emergency pandemic status but acknowledge that the pandemic is not over in other areas of the world. We continue to monitor the conditions and will make changes as needed. You are encouraged to wear masks if this will make you more comfortable to participate in our fair. We will continue to promote social distancing where possible. There may be some new traffic flow patterns in the exhibit hall and the animal building to prevent as much crowding in areas. Friday night no one will be able to enter the exhibit hall. All entries will be dropped off at the doors. Pick up plans are still somewhat in flux and will be contingent with state and federal health guidelines. Many of your favorite events are back – doodlebug and tractor pulls, horse and oxen pulls. However, you may not see all of your favorite events this year.
