    Confederación Panamericana de Tiro con Arco Boletín Mensual 63/ 63rd Monthly Bulletin Julio 2021/ July 2021 ________________________________ Las competencias de tiro con arco de los Juegos Olímpicos de Tokio se realizaron finalmente luego de un año de espera. ¡Qué fabulosa demostración de coraje, disciplina y compromiso la de los 128 deportistas olímpicos y sus entrenadores! Hubo un poco de todo: excelentes puntajes en la clasificación, partidos no aptos para cardiacos, el debut exitoso del evento de equipos mixtos, victorias de los favoritos, las sorpresivas eliminaciones de los mejores ranqueados, viento, lluvia, jóvenes arqueros subiendo a lo más alto del podio, y veteranos ganando medallas. Así es el tiro con arco, y esta es la razón por la cual nuestra presencia en el programa olímpico está muy lejos de ser amenazada. Estamos orgullosos de nuestros diecinueve deportistas: de los que ganaron medallas, de los que ganaron partidos, y de los que no pudieron lograrlo. World Archery Americas felicita a los organizadores japoneses, los voluntarios, a World Archery, a los delegados técnicos y a los oficiales técnicos internacionales por contribuir al éxito total del tiro con arco en los Juegos.     SEPTEMBER 2019 Office Staff Recovering from assault World Archery development and education director Pascal Colmaire is recovering after being the victim of a violent assault in Uganda where he was delivering an Olympic Solidarity level two coaching course in the capital city of Kampala. Pascal was attacked on the last evening of the course, 3 September, while walking nearby his hotel, and was left with several skull fractures and damaged eyesight. Melany Postigo, who was working in the World Archery Excellence Centre and spending half of her time on development and education projects, has transferred to a full-time role at the World Archery office as development projects coordinator. She is now responsible for all Olympic Solidarity matters and is coordinating the coaching seminar at the Centre. Her email address is [email protected].
