UNSWORTH ACADEMY Wednesday 21st July 2021 Dear Parents/Carers/Learners GCSE Results Day – Thursday 12th August 2021 Following current government guidance, with the removal of bubbles and social distancing restrictions, we are now in a position to detail arrangements for learners to collect their results in summer. How will the GCSE Results Day run? Y11 Learners: arrive at school to collect results between 9.00am – 10.30am Y10 Learners: arrive between 10.30am – 11.30am Members of the senior leadership team and pastoral team will be in attendance, as well as representatives from Bury College and Holy Cross. What happens if my child is unable to attend and wants someone else to pick up their results for them? Somebody else may collect the results but must bring a signed letter confirming permission to do so from the learner, along with proof of their own ID. Results cannot be given out without this. What happens if results are not collected on Results Day? Y11 results will be posted out to your home address at the end of the Results Day. Y10 results will be given out when learners are back in school in September. Information on the appeals process can be found at https://unsworthacademy.org.uk/guidance-for- summer-2021-exams/ On behalf of all the staff here at Unsworth Academy, may I pass on best wishes to all our learners for Results Day and for their subsequent post 16 continued studies.
