Feyenoord are, for administrative purposes, the ‘home’ team at the final which, as chance might have it, is to be played at their own ground, the Feijenoord Stadion, in Rotterdam on Wednesday 8 May. The Dutch club has scheduled the Media Open Day for Tuesday 23 April at the stadium. Media representatives will be able to attend a training session on the pitch at ‘De Kuip’ and will then be invited to meet the head coach, Bert van Marwijk, and players at a Press Conference due to start at 13.30. International media representatives who wish to attend the Open Day are urged to confirm their presence by fax to Feyenoord’s Press Officer, Fred Blankemeijer, along with any specific interview requests they would like to make. The fax number is: +00 31+ 10 432 5819. BV Borussia Dortmund are bidding to win the UEFA Cup for the first time, five years after winning the UEFA Champions League in Munich. The German club’s Open Day will be on Thursday 25 April. Media representatives are welcome to attend the squad’s training session which will take place at 10.00 on the “Im Rabenloh” training ground adjacent to the Westfalenstadion. After the training session, at approximately 12.00, the media are also invited to take some refreshment in the Press Room located on Level 3 of the ‘Osttribüne’ at the Westfalenstadion. At 13.00, there will be a Press Conference involving the BV Borussia Dortmund president, Dr. Gerd Niebaum, the head coach, Matthias Sammer, club captain Stefan Reuter and international defender Jürgen Kohler. Once again, media representatives are advised to inform the club’s Press Officer, Josef Schneck, of their intention to attend the Open Day, along with any specific interview requests.
