How fast the year can pass! One year ago I was ordained as Deacon in the Church of and now, as I write this article, I am preparing for my ordination as Priest at Carlisle Cathedral in just a few day’s time. This year has been one of huge change in life for my wife, Sarah and I, with so many new things to get to grips with on moving to a new home and a completely different employment. There have been ups and downs, but what a joy it has been to live amongst such kind and caring people. Learning the ‘ropes’ of a new vocation, as well as starting new initiatives such as the Appleby Filing Station has been part of the privilege of serving in the Heart of Eden. I am looking forward to being involved in further developments over the next twelve months and hopefully you will be able to join us for the second season of the Filling Station which will commence in September. Whatever life may throw at us it is always good to know that in Jesus we have a friend and guide who will never leave us. I pray that you will all have a truly blessed summer.
