Correspondence (1980–2003) of University of Oklahoma history professor Gary Anderson, and his research notes for his books Kinsmen of Another Kind: Dakota-White Relations in the Upper Mississippi River Valley (1984, a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize) and The Indian Southwest, 1580-1830: Ethnogenesis and Reinvention (1999). The collection also includes court records and research by Anderson for two trials in which he served as an expert witness: Keweenaw Bay Indian Community v. Michigan and Quapaw Tribe v. Blue Tee Corporation. Note: This collection contains photocopied research material collected from other libraries and archives.
