The following construction activities will be implemented under the proposed sub-project: Construction of one water catchment Construction of two discharge chamber, one pressure braking chamber Construction of inlet water pipeline 47 m (D= 50x100mm - Py=1.0 Mpa) Construction of one metallic trough with 30 m length Gravel covered bypass road 300 m with 3,5 m length Construction of 30 m2 herdsmen’s’ shelter Fence 52 m length The design for pastures watering network has been developed by the ANUSHIK JRER LLC design company under the contract concluded with Agricultural Development Found Institutional/implementation Task Team Leader Safeguard Specialists arrangements (co-TTL if applicable) (env., soc.) The absolute maximum height of the construction site is 2032.0. The pipeline will pass through the communal lands, particularly through 0,2 ha pasture areas in the outskirts of the village. Thus, during construction, the Project will temporary use 0,2 ha land, and this land will become usable for the community again being reinstated after completion of construction works, without any restriction of land use or access. Temporary access will be provided during construction to ensure continued mobility of livestock and herders. No part of the pipelines will pass through a private land or through lands used by illegal users. This was checked and verified via the community cadastral map and field surveys. As the construction activities will be carried out in the remote pastures, in the outskirts of the village, there is no need for temporary closure of roads, and as there are no private houses nearby, no temporary disturbance to residents may occur during the construction activities. No tree removal is anticipated. The natural relief and landscape will be recovered after construction works. Land title and user right The land required for the sub-project implementation belongs to the holder(s) Community on which the Reference provided by the Sisian Community Mayor (based on the Community cadastral map survey) is attached. Description of geographic, The sub-project site is located in Tolors village of Sisian community of the RA physical, biological, Syunik marz. The pastures, where the construction site is located are on the geological, hydrographic and altitude of 1833 m. above sea level. socio-economic context Climatic conditions of the Tolors possesses is mild mountainous. The winter is cold, snowy, temperature on winter about 16-20 C. The summer is warm, few clouds, comparatively humid weather. Precipitation is not abundant, 400- 450mm on the lake surface, up to 1000 in the mountains Tolors village due to the consolidation process in November 2017 was included in Sisian community of the RA Syunik marz. The area of Sisian community is 111631 ha, and the population is 30575, while the area of Tolors village of Sisian community is 2015 ha and the population is 450 of whom 222 men and 228 women, overall 116 households. 2.7% of the overall population of the Republic involved in the migration processes is from Syunik marz. Of the overall population of the Republic not returning and returning to the Republic, Syunik marz population is 3.9% and 1.1% respectively. Poverty rate of Syunik marz is 4.7% within the overall poverty rate of the Republic. In Tolors village, there are 6 families in the family benefit system, 53 pensioners and persons with disability. In Tolors Community Pasture User Association Consumer Cooperative established under the CARMAC II Project there are 55 members of whom 3 women and 4 youth; 5 representatives of vulnerable groups as per Project vulnerability criteria (pensioners, persons with disability, family benefit system recipients, etc.). There are 85 household involved in livestock farming of which 11 are women- headed and 8 are youth-headed households. There are approximately 1378 ha pasture areas in the community. Agriculture is the main source of livelihood for the village population, and livestock farming and crop farming are their main occupation. The main income source of the households is sales of livestock products, i.e. meat, milk and other dairy products, as well as other agricultural products. However, they mention the meat market is unstable. In the village, there are school and medical point. Of monuments of history and culture, there is Saint Hripsime Church and Monument dedicated to the Victims of World War II. Infrastructure development, including drinking water network upgrading, stock-watering system construction and obtaining agricultural machinery is the key to the development of the village as per Tolors Community Development Program for 2017-2021. Locations and distance for If additional soil is required to close the trenches or grading the nearby area, material sourcing, especially such additional soil has to be delivered by Contractors from the place aggregates, water, stones provided by the community. Gravel and stones may be purchased and delivered by the Contractor. Contractor may choose to extract natural construction materials himself, in which case contractor must obtain an extraction license prior to commencement of extraction. Water for construction works will be provided with mobile water tanks. Waterway will be connected to the new water connection point for which Sisian community has to obtain water use permits form the Ministry of Nature Protection (MoNP) of the RA.     The technologies comprise the following services Updated on February 28, 2020 2G technology comprises the following services: voice, data (GPRS, EDGE), ensuring speed of up to 474 Kbps 3G technology comprises the following services: voice, data (R99, HSPA), ensuring speed of up to 42.2 Mbps 4G+ technology comprises the following services: voice (CSFB), data, ensuring speed of up to 300 Mbps for download and up to 50 Mbps of upload CSFB service gives an opportunity to the subscribers to accept phone calls in 4G+ network. The voice call is performed by transferring from 4G+ technology to 3G; upon the session completion 3G is switched back to 4G+. Starting from 2020 Viva-MTS has been rendering VoLTE service, which ensures higher quality and short set- up period for calls made in 4G+ network coverage. The usage speeds of the mentioned technologies depend on the coverage, the load of the base station as well as on the quality and class of the device in use by the subscriber. In the North the marz borders with RA Vayots Dzor marz, in the South it borders with Iran, (the length of border is 42 km), in the West - Nakhijevan and in the East - Azerbaijan.
