    CAMINO NATURAL DEL CANTABRICO El Camino Natural de la Ruta del Cantábrico abarcar las provincias gallegas de Lugo y A Coruña, recorre la franja costera a lo largo de 150 kilómetros distribuidos en 7 etapas y 3 ramales. Recorrerlo permitirá visitar preciosos pueblos como es el caso de Ribadeo, Foz, Burela, San Cibrao, Viveiro, O Vicedo, O Barqueiro, Porto de Espasante y Ladrido Durante su recorrido podrás disfrutar de uno paisaje de costa increíble con numerosas playas, rías y acantilados. Hay muchos lugares protegidos, como es el caso de la Playa de las Catedrales está declarada como “Monumento Natural”, así como la Ría de la ría de Foz-Masma, la ría de Fazouro y la ría de Ortigueira-Ladrido que son “espacios naturales protegidos”. El itinerario se puede realizar a pie y en bicicleta, siendo ciclable en la mayor parte del trazado. Aunque la mayor parte del recorrido se hace por pistas de tierra, hay algún tramo asfaltado que es compartido con coche. 1.- ETAPAS.. SENDERISMO Habitualmente cuándo se hace esta ruta andando, la gente suele hacer una media de 20 km / día. Si seguimos estas indicaciones nos saldrían 7 etapas. ETAPA 1: Ribadeo - Las Catedrales 18,40 km ETAPA 2: Las Catedrales - Foz 21,60 km ETAPA 3: Foz - Burela 20,80 km ETAPA 4: Burela - San Cibrao 12,89 km ETAPA 5: San Cibrao - Viveiro 29,82 km ETAPA 6: Viveiro - O Vicedo 21,90 km ETAPA 7: O Vicedo - Ladrido 22,80 km TOTAL 148,21 km BICICLETA Si lo hacemos en bicicleta pulmonar lo habitual serían 40 km / día Saldrían 3 etapas y media, aunque se podría redondear a 3 etapas, haciendo una de ellas más larga.

La pesca es para Galicia lo que la naranja para Valencia, el carbón para Asturias, el vino para La Mancha o el aceite para Andalucía1. I.- INTRODUCCIÓN. Basta con observar la situación geográfica de Galicia para darse cuenta del papel económico de primera magnitud desempeñado por el mar. Pero además, es conocida la larga historia de la navegación por nuestras costas, puesta ya de manifiesto en la Antigüedad por los historiadores clásicos, así como por los hallazgos arqueológicos. En justa correspondencia, los estudios sobre el mar cuentan, a nivel gallego, con una cada vez más rica bibliografía que hace hincapié sobre todo en los siglos XIX y XX; lo que no significa la existencia de un vacío total para las etapas anteriores. De todas formas, la historiografía marinera de Galicia se revela como un poco cenicienta si la comparamos con las historias política, social y demográfica. Los temas tratados son diversos: las artes de pesca, los conflictos sociales, las embarcaciones, el sector pesquero desde un punto de vista económico, etc. etc. Sin embargo, se echan de menos estudios de conjunto y también comarcales, sobre todo en el área cantábrica, la menos conocida de toda la costa gallega y que aquí se convierte en nuestro objeto de estudio. La provincia de Lugo tiene una extensión de 9.799 Km2, de los cuales 1.458 corresponden a los dieciséis municipios que integran A Mariña2.
