RULES 2016 The Marcialonga Committee organizes the fourth edition of the Marcialonga Story, a non- competitive revival that celebrates the history of cross country skiing and recalls the equipment used for this sport before 1976. LENGTH 11K – Total HD 157 m. TIME LIMIT 2 hours DRINK STATION Ziano di Fiemme – Roda and in the finish zone, main square of Predazzo PRIZE-GIVING CEREMONY 11.30 a.m. in the main square of Predazzo. All participants, after their arrival, are invited on stage for the final photos and to receive a memento of the event. ENTRIES All male and female skiers from 16 years old may enter this event which has not an agonistic or competitive purpose. In order to participate it is mandatory to have VINTAGE EQUIPMENT: skis older than 1976 with bindings of 75 mm, shoes, poles and cross-county skiing clothing corresponding to that period. A special team of experts will check the status of the global equipment before entering the starting zone. The limit number of entries accepted is fixed to 300 skiers. MARCIALONGA Loc. Entry-fees will not be returned for any reason. FEE The entry-fee is Euro 30,00 and includes: the bib; the badge for validation stamp along the course; the gadget; the diploma; transport of clothing to the finish (the O.C. is not responsible for cloths not delivered to the indicated collection point); refreshments; transfer back to the start at 11.00 a.m. and at 12.00 p.m. (booked in advance) all other services provided by the Organising Committee. A discount of Euro 5.00 is reserved to: • competitors already registered in one of the other Marcialonga events; • competitors born in 1955 or before; • associations, clubs, groups with minimum 10 members. Offers cannot be combined. MEDICAL ASSISTANCE The medical assistance is provided along the course. TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE There is no technical assistance nor waxing service: each competitor must ski the course in full autonomy. DISQUALIFICATIONS Skiers who deliberately cause obstruction to other skiers, who do not ski the entire marked course or who either jeopardise the security of persons or property or actually cause injury or damage, will be disqualified. APPEALS Appeals must be submitted to the Organising Committee within 10 minutes after the event is finished. CHANGES For circumstances beyond one’s control, the Organising Committee can decide to make changes to the course or cancel the event. MARCIALONGA Loc. Skiers acknowledge and accept these regulations by sending the entry-form, exempting the Organising Committee from any liability in case of damage done or suffered.
