Attendees: DDC, HRRP, MEDAIR, Kam for Sud, ACTED, CDS, SYS, NRCS and etc.

Agenda: 1. Introduction 2. HRRP - Overview and Concept, Objective and Structure 3. Plan and Response of Partner Organizations (POs) 4. Open discussion and mapping POs coverage 5. Updates on partner’s activities and planning related to preparing for reconstruction and partner capacity to assist with the enrollment process 6. Improving coordination among local NGO and INGO 7. AOB

The HRRP Coordination Meeting took place at the NRCS Office, Manthali, Ramechhap on 02nd February 2016. The formal meeting started with short introduction and followed by sharing information on current Reconstruction & Recovery plans & progress. A total of 12 participants representing from different organizations were present at the HRRP meeting.

Introduction The purpose of the cluster meeting was more to give general idea of HRRP & NRA system for Recovery and Reconstruction to the government representatives & POs. And also to exchange and update information from POs, avoid duplication, facilitate collective approach and joint planning with other partners, share challenges, gaps, and way forwards whereas the meeting was more focused on Recovery and Reconstruction Activities i.e.,

• Technical Training: Mason/Carpentry/ Building Code implementation/Counseling

• Houses Reconstruction

• Cash Distribution/ Cash for Work

• Social/Community Awareness

• Participatory Approach for Safe Shelter Awareness (PASSA)

• Build Back Safer (BBS) Ten key Message.

Additionally, it was focused to update the data from different working agencies to leading and co- leading partners. Major Discussion  Basic introduction HRRP (Housing Recovery Reconstruction Platform).  Information management and coordination system to be strengthened by all stakeholders.  Agencies working in different VDCs, coverage, training nature, duplications, and quality.

R&R Activities

 MEDAIR: Working in the district with local partner CDS in , & . In Bijulikot, 5 Days PASSA and Mason training is going on. There will be 2 training programs in PASSA as well as Mason Training. 2 Model houses in each VDC will be built. Once one VDC is completed they will follow same programs in the other VDCs respectively.

 CESVI: Working in & Chisapani with local partner SYS. 2 bundles of CGI sheets and the required timber are already distributed for 350 HHs who are the most vulnerable as partial coverage in both VDCs. Also Planning for PASSA and Mason Training in , Pharpu, Namadi, , Rasnalu & is not confirmed yet.

 Kam for Sud: Planned to work in Saipu in Mason & carpenter training for 30 @ 10 individuals respectively coverage full coverage in the VDC. Also 4 to 6 model house will be built in the VDC.

 ACTED: Working in & Gupteswor with E-Cards, their local partner. CGI sheets were already distributed to red card holders in Bhuji-603 HHs & Gupteswor-430 HHs in the end of January. Now planning for the Mason Training for Skilled & Unskilled, Cash for work in same VDCs.

 GOAL: Working in the , Bamti & with local partner CDS. Planning for the constructing 700 HHs transitional shelters, Chuchure-260 HHs, Bamti-200HHs and Gumdel-240 HHs. And also selected 105 HHs among 700HHs will get cash for work NPR 10,000 individually.

 MCC: Working with CDS their local partner in the VDCs , , & Manthali for livelihood pragrams like irrigation support, commercial planning and other income generating programs for 340 families. Also planning for Mason training for 60 individuals as well as 37 permanent houses for vulnerable HHs in the VDC.

 TDH: Working with CDS in Bhirpani, Rakathum, Majhuwa, & . Will be conducting several Wash, education programs as well as shelter recovery program of Cash support NPR 20,000 for 180 transitional HHs individually.

 NRCS: Working in Rampur & Manthali. Planning to distribute cash NPR 2,00,000 for 1000 HHs as per government directives as well as other shelter related mason & carpenter trainings and also income generating programs. Trainings completed for 207 individuals and for other 180 individuals are on the way. Will built 20 model houses in several VDCs among them 6 are already completed. Key Message from DDC

 Government will support HRRP by providing us the information and are also have positive response to HRRP to work collaboratively for the recovery and reconstruction planning.  Government will conduct necessary programs helpful to HRRP and also replicate the HRRP model in the district.  Direction will be given to all POs working in recovery & reconstruction programs in the district to follow as per HRRP directives.
