I then welcome Grandsire Bhishma and my Uncle, King Dhitarashtra, who have blessed me and honored me with their presence. I also welcome Uncle Vidur, Sage Drona, and Sage Kripacharya. Their knowledge has enlightened me and made me worthy. I bless to my brothers and Duryodhana. I also Pay my respects to all the kings and warriors who have chosen to attend.

Bhishma walks to Yudhishthira.

Bhishma My nephew and king, you truly are honored and lucky that all kings have accepted your invitation. I have never seen such a presence of sages and kings. Is a great city merely by their presence. Now you must honor them and choose your honored guest.

Yudhishthira Who should I honor first Uncle?

Bhishma Whoever you feel is the most worthy.

Yudhishthira Is that you or Sage Vyas?

Bhishma No, it is neither of us. You are wise and just so you must have realized that only one person is worthy of this. That would be Lord Krishna. I say that not only because he is a dear friend, but he dominates any room he enters. He brings life into courtroom and honors every person he meets. Does anyone object?

Beat

Yudhishthira Join me Lord Krishna, Uncle Bhishma is beyond correct.

Krishna sits next to Yudhi

Shishupala YUDHISHTHIRA!

Shishupala enters.

Yudhishthira I honor Lord Krishna, Shishupala. What’s wrong?

Shishupala Out of all of the kings here you would honor this milkman!

Bhima & Arjuna Shishupala!

Bhima One more word and I’ll kill you!

Yudhishthira Bhima! Arjuna! Be calm, yo must not over step our boundaries as hosts

Krishna Yes, Emperor Yudhishthira is correct. Shishupala, continue today you may speak your mind.

Shishupala Ha! I don’t need your permission to speak! You are no cousin of mine. Anyone deserves This honor more than you. This insults all kings! As for Grandsire you are senile and a liar! Your vow is a hoax! You would be single even without this ‘oath!’

Bhishma Shishupala! I will remove your tongue! Lord is my witness!

Krishna Grandsire, he is not insulting you. He is insulting me. Continue Shishupala.

Shishupala Stop giving me permission. You are not my better. If anyone needs permission it’s you. You are no great warrior, king, or sage!

Balarama Shishupala! I will pull out your tongue!

Krishna Let him talk, brother. I’ll forgive him a hundred times as I promised our aunt.

Balarama You can forgive him, but I won’t! He insults you and all of these great leaders. Yet you stand there smiling as though he has done nothing!

Krishna I’m not smiling, I’m counting his crimes. So far there have been 97 crimes. You have three more Shishupala.

Shishupala You don’t scare me! I will insult you three hundred more Times. You have no honor and thus can’t be insulted! That’s 98! You are a cheap thief! That’s 99! You killed the King who fed you and you are ungrateful! That’s 100!

Krishna Watch what you say now! They could very well be your last words.

Shishupala You are a milk man acting as a king! You are unworthy!

Krishna summons the sudarshan chakra.
