Online EGP Council, 2-6 December 2020 Relating to the EGP Statutes The EGP Committee proposes three votes relating to the EGP Statutes: 1. For adoption: exception to Art 6.3.1 in the EGP Statutes “6.3.1 The Council is the highest decision-making body of the European Green Party. It is convened by the Committee and must meet at least once a year in person. Council meetings may be held in person or by telecommunication means under conditions laid down in the Rule Book.” The EGP Committee proposes to keep the text of article 6.3.1. as is, but asks the Council delegates to legitimize the 32nd EGP Council by adopting the exception not to hold a Council in person in 2020. This, in view of the extraordinary circumstances caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. 2. For adoption: change of legal seat of the European Green Party The EGP office has been in rue Wiertz 31 since the end of 2004. In need for more office space for the enlarged EGP staff, the Committee chose not to prolong the rental contract which ended on 31 July 2020, and instead decided to move the EGP headquarters to rue du Taciturne 34, 1000 Brussels. The actual move happened right after the Corona lockdown was lifted, early May. Therefore, the Committee presents the following change to the EGP Statutes: Nº Nº Current text Proposed change – new text Article The seat of the European Green The seat of the European Green Party is situated at rue du 1. 2.4 Party is situated at rue Wiertz 31, in Taciturne 34, in 1000 Brussels, 1050 Brussels, Belgium.
