THE LIGHTHOUSES of LEVANTE 100 Km 1.195 M Medium Distancia Elevation gain Difficulty THE LIGHTHOUSES OF LEVANTE 100 km 1.195 m Medium 200 100 0 Points of interest: Lighthouse of Capdepera, Colònia de Sant Pere Bicycle Route around the Lighthouses of Levante The route passes by one of the best-known lighthouses in Mallorca, the Capdepera lighthouse, from where it goes around the entire peninsula of Artà, descending to the small port of Colònia de Sant Pere. The route also passes through Capdepera, Artà, Sant Llorenç and Son Servera. The route leads to the Capdepera lighthouse, one of the best-known lighthouses in Mallorca, which is located at the easternmost point of the island. Cycling along the route of the Lighthouses of Levante We start the route in the town of Cala Millor, at the crossroads between Calles Fetget, na Llambies and Avenida Joan Servera Camps. INTRODUCCIÓN Al igual que en el resto del Estado Español, la historia contemporánea del municipio de Calvià ha sido compleja, variada y llena de matices. Los marcos socioeconómicos y políticos de Mallorca y del conjunto del Estado han condicionado el devenir de este pueblo, pero a su vez, la propia idiosincrasia del municipio de Calvià, su base económica y su estructura social y política, ha otorgado a su evolución histórica un marco especialmente particular. Sin dejar de lado la evolución política del municipio, muy en consonancia con su marco geográfico de referencia, la historia contemporánea de Calvià puede dividirse en dos grandes momentos con tendencias socioeconómicas y territoriales marcadamente divergentes. Una primera fase, que podría llegar hasta mediados del siglo XX, estaría marcada por una estructura económica de tipo agrario y un estancamiento en el crecimiento de la población, con la aparición de fenómenos emigratorios importantes. La segunda fase, de gran vitalidad económica y con un gran impacto en la sociedad y en el territorio del municipio, se desarrollaría a partir de la década de los años 60 del siglo XX, y se caracterizaría por la aparición y el desarrollo del turismo de masas. Como veremos a lo largo de diferentes apartados, ello provocará, no sólo profundos cambios en la base económica del municipio, sino que también dará lugar a trasformaciones estructurales en la configuración de la población de Calvià, con la aparición de diferentes fenómenos de inmigración, y la construcción de una estructura territorial y una red urbana radicalmente distintas a las que, históricamente, habían marcado el devenir de este municipio.

In this sense, knowledge of the population’s mobility habits and their relationship with transport modes is particularly essential. Along these lines, a study was carried out of the patterns of transport modes chosen concerning various social and territorial variables on the island of Mallorca based on the most recent mobility surveys. The study shows that the choice of mode is influenced by a wide range of factors, such as gender, age group, motive for the trip, occupation, region of residence, duration of the trip, and proximity to Palma, the capital of the island. The results indicate that private vehicles are the most often chosen mode of transport. Private vehicles are mainly used by working men between 30 and 44 years old for journeys between home and work, which do not exceed 30 min and are preferably in areas close to Palma. Sustainable modes are little used, although they are mainly used by women, young people, and retired people for work purposes and for access to educational and health centers.

La explotación de los recursos animales en el poblado de Canyamel (Capdepera, Mallorca) durante la edad del Bronce. Boll. Soc. Hist. Nat. Balears, 54: SHNB 133-160. ISSN 0212-260X. Palma de Mallorca. Se presenta el estudio de los restos faunísticos recuperados en las excavaciones en el poblado de navetas de Canyamel (Capdepera), realizadas a mediados de los años 70 del siglo pasado. Se trata de un conjunto datado en la segunda mitad del II milenio cal BC. Los resultados revelan que la subsistencia de la comunidad que habitó el yacimiento recayó esencialmente, por lo que hace referencia a los recursos animales, en la ganadería. Las cabras y las ovejas presentan un marcado predominio numérico SOCIETAT D’HISTÒRIA aunque el vacuno sería la especie más importante debido a su volumen potencial de NATURAL DE LES BALEARS alimento. El cerdo es la especie ganadera menos representada. Los patrones de sacrificio no hacen pensar en la existencia de estrategias de especialización en productos derivados o de explotación intensiva del ganado. Por otra parte, la fauna silvestre presenta un papel marginal en la alimentación. Palabras clave: arqueozoología, ganadería, edad del Bronce, Mallorca.
