Welcome to the 2020 Season of the Verona Community Pool
The pool will open full-time on Wednesday, July 1 and will remain open through Labor Day, September 7
Memberships are available to VERONA RESIDENTS ONLY
Registration will open on Monday, June 22 at 9 a.m. All memberships will be credited with 3 Daily Guest passes.
All registrations must be completed through Community Pass. No in-person registrations are being accepted at this time due to COVID-19 precautions. Please visit www.VeronaNJ.org for the “Recreation Registration” link.
Valid identification with proof of a Verona address is required to pick up Pool Membership tags
Tags can be picked up outside the Verona Community Center on June 23, 24 & 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Tags can also be picked up at the Membership Tent located outside the front gate of the pool between 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. from July 1 thru July 5, 2020.
Returning members: Your membership tags from previous seasons will be automatically reactivated upon registration. We will also use the same membership photos from last season. If you lost your tag, the fee for a replacement is $10.
New members: If you are a new Verona resident, or a first time pool members, you will need membership tag(s) issued. Individual headshot photographs of all family members are required. Pictures should be emailed to [email protected].
There are several changes applicable to the 2020 Pool Season. Please review the 2020 Pool Season Rules & Procedures before submitting your registration for Membership.

FAMILY MEMBERSHIP $355.00 Includes up to two (2) adults per household and their unmarried dependent children, 24 years of age or under, living in the same household. Children under one year of age (as of June 1, 2020) do not require a membership.
FAMILY WITH BABYSITTER $435.00 Family Membership plus ONE babysitter badge per membership
COUPLE $330.00 Includes two (2) adults residing in the same household
PARENT/CHILD $310.00 Includes one parent/guardian and one child (under 18 years of age)
INDIVIDUAL $235.00 Available to residents 18 years of age and older
TWILIGHT $135.00 Individual Membership for access from 4:00 p.m. to close everyday
SENIOR CITIZEN $125.00 Available to residents 62 years of age or older
NON MEMBER RESIDENT DAY PASS $20.00 per day per person Available to residents of Verona who do not hold one of the above memberships (Proof of residency required)
2020 POOL HOURS Monday – Friday 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday Family Night 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. (FREE for Verona residents with valid identification) Saturday & Sunday (Adults only 18+) 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Saturday & Sunday 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Please keep your tags that are issued to you as they will be reactivated at registration for future seasons. A fee may be charged for replacement tags.
VERONA COMMUNITY POOL 2020 RULES & REGULATIONS
1. Members and guests must comply with the rules. Members are responsible for their guests.
2. Following items are strictly enforced in the pool perimeter; a. Walking of bicycles within the pool gates. b. Skateboards must be turned into the office. c. Spray guns, squirt guns and water pistols of any kind are prohibited.
3. Only children up to the age of 6 will be permitted in the baby pool.
4. All children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult (18 years of age or over) to be admitted to the pool complex.
5. No smoking on pool premises.
6. Only adult memberships can purchase a guest pass.
7. During weekend adult swims, only 1 child, 5 years old or younger may accompany one adult.
8. No diving into the pool except from the diving boards. Jump feet first only off the 5 ft. wall.
9. Proper pool membership tags must be processed to enter the pool.
10. Lost membership tags must be reported to the Front Office or Office of Community Services immediately.
11. No flotation devices are permitted in the main pool.
12. Consumption of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited on pool property.
13. Management reserves the right to close one or both of the pools whenever the safety or health of the membership is endangered and may prohibit any action or conduct which is dangerous, improper, illicit or immoral.
14. There shall be no animals, littering, glass or breakable containers allowed.
15. Swimmers are required to clear the water 20 minutes prior to closing.
16. Parents are responsible for their children. An adult must accompany children 5 and under at all times.
17. Diapers must be changed in the restrooms and disposed of in the container provided. Absolutely no changing of diapers on picnic tables.
18. In accordance with State Law, all children in diapers must wear plastic pants with snug fitting elastic waist and leg bands when entering pool (N.J.A.C. 8:26-5.4)
19. Membership in the Verona Community Pool is limited to Verona residents only. Members are allowed in the pool facility only during regular operating hours.
20. Any person having a communicable disease, open blisters, cuts, sore or inflamed eyes, ears, nose or mouth infections, excessive sunburn or any type of skin disease will be excluded from the pool area.
21. There shall be no running or throwing of objects.
22. Unnecessary spouting of water, snapping of towels, roughness, or other conduct affecting the safety and comfort of others, shall not be permitted.
23. No loitering in the vicinity of Lifeguard stands, entrance ladders, stairs or ramp.
24. Pool patrons are not permitted to put up personal tents or umbrellas on pool property.
25. The babysitter badge, can only be used when the babysitter is with the children listed on the same membership.
26. Patrons who occupy tables must be present on the pool premises.

NO CHILDREN UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE ARE ALLOWED IN THE MAIN POOL OR MAIN POOL DECK DURING THE WEEKEND “ADULTS ONLY” HOUR.
VERONA COMMUNITY POOL 2020 SEASON SPECIAL PROCEDURES RELATED TO COVID-19
• The Main Entrance is the sole entry point for the pool members, guests and employees. The double gate will serve as the exit point. Staff members will supervise both posts. • Only single-occupancy showers will be available in the locker rooms. • Restroom access will only be from the pool deck entrance. Occupancy will be limited with a staff member controlling access. • The snack concession will not be in operation this season. Two vending machines serving soft drinks are available. • Members can order food delivery to the pool. NOTE: Absolutely no Delivery drivers will be allowed inside the pool gate. They must notify the customer when the food is arriving. No overhead announcements will be made. Pool members must retrieve their own deliveries from the Exit Gate. • POSITIVELY NO glass containers are permitted. • NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE PERMITTED. • Personal coolers, backpacks and handbags are subject to search. • No swimming lessons are being offered this season. • Life vests must be returned and dropped in the designated receptacle after use. All life vests will be disinfected by pool staff prior to reissuance. • Floats, dive toys, kickboards, noodles and like items are not permitted. Pool toys are permitted in the baby pool only. • The pool playground is closed. • Members, guests and employees (except lifeguards on post) over the age of two-years old must wear a face covering over their nose and mouth when entering and exiting the pool grounds and when using the restroom. Face coverings must not be worn when in the water. • All Member Guests names must be provided. All Day Pass-holders must have a valid Verona address (proof of residency required). • Foot coverings (such as shoes, sandals or flip-flops) must be worn when using the restroom. • All members shall practice social distancing by keeping at least 6 feet from others at all times. • The water slides are not in operation. • The Baby Pool and diving boards are in operation. • The Recreation Tent will not operate this season. • Hand sanitizer dispensers will be available throughout the facility and should be used when necessary. • There will be no Gazebo rentals this season. • The basketball, volleyball, shuffleboard, corn hole courts are not in operation. • The Lost & Found will only keep eye glasses, cell phones and jewelry. All other Items left behind at the pool, will be discarded after closing each day. • Personal chairs may be brought to the pool but may not be left or locked to the fence. • What you bring to the pool, you must bring home at the end of the day. • Day pass-holders are not permitted July 1st to 5th and September 4th to 7th. • Please note that we are following the State guidelines regarding pool capacity. As of this printing, 550 people are allowed at the pool at any one time.
