Entre ellos, las abejas constituyen un eslabón esencial en la polinización de angiospermas que durante millones de años desarrollaron estrategias cada vez más específicas para atraerlas. De esta forma se establece una relación muy fuerte entre am- bos, planta-polinizador, y cuanto mayor es la especialización, tal como sucede en un gran número de especies de orquídeas y cactáceas entre otros grupos, ésta se torna más vulnerable ante cambios ambientales naturales o producidos por el hombre. De esta forma, el estudio de este tipo de interacciones resulta cada vez más importante en vista del incremento de áreas perturbadas o modificadas de manera antrópica en las cuales la fauna y flora queda expuesta a adaptarse a las nuevas condiciones o desaparecer. -

Fig pollination is now widely regarded as a model system for the study of coevolved mutualism, and earlier reviews have focused on the evolution of resource conflicts between pollinating fig wasps, their hosts, and their parasites. Fig wasps have also been a focus of research on sex ratio evolution, the evolution of virulence, coevolu- tion, population genetics, host-parasitoid interactions, community ecology, historical biogeography, and conservation biology. This new synthesis of fig wasp research at- tempts to integrate recent contributions with the older literature and to promote research on diverse topics ranging from behavioral ecology to molecular evolution. Ficus merupakan salah satu tumbuhan yang memiliki peranan penting untuk mengontrol proses ekologi hutan sepanjang waktu, sehingga dimanfaatkan oleh banyak satwa liar di sekitarnya.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat distribusi Ficus dari tiap habitus di kawasan Taman Nasional Bukit Barisan Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode transek garis yang telah dilakukan pada bulan Mei 2018 di Stasiun Penelitian Way Canguk, Taman Nasional Bukit Barisan Selatan, Lampung. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan 318 individu (32 jenis), terdiri dari 173 individu pencekik (23 jenis), 95 individu pohon (6 jenis),17 individu pancang (5 jenis), 25 individu semai (6 jenis), 4 individu perambat (2 jenis), dan 4 individu liana (1 jenis). Swadaya Barat No. 4, Gresik 61171, East Java, Indonesia Abstract Rafflesia is a holoparasitic plant genus that only consists of generative organs. Rafflesia has habitat conditions that vary greatly in biotic and abiotic factors. Its population decreased due to habitat destruction or natural disturbances. The objective of this study is to analyze the habitat and ecological conditions of Rafflesia arnoldii in Panorama Baru Ngarai Sianok. Purposive sampling method was used to collect the data using circular plots for Rafflesia population and vegetation. Rafflesia population data includes the number and phase of development of each individual. Ecological data in the form of vegetation conditions and abiotic (physical) habitat. The Rafflesia species which found was R. arnoldii. Four populations were recorded in Ngarai Sianok consisting of 19 individuals. The identified host is Tetrastigma leucostaphylum. Vegetation within four populations was found a total of 255 individuals and 48 species consisting of 20 genus. Important Value Index (IVI) tree vegetation is dominated by Ficus fistulosa (Moraceae) with a value of 32.37%, belta and sapling dominated by Coffea canephora (Rubiaceae) 63.53% and C. canephora (Rubiaceae)141.24%. Abiotic factors that are positively correlated was environmental humidity (RH.l), soil pH (pH) and host tree diameter (DPi). Although there are studies showing the chemical constituents of some species, the active substances have not been properly identified. A systematic study was carried out through a computer search of data on CAPES journals, SciELO, ISI Bireme, PubMed, ScienceDirect, ScienceDomain Medline, and Google Scholar from published articles using key words: Luehea,ac¸oita-cavalo, and Malvaceae. Luehea divaricata was the species with the highest number of studies observed. -

E-mail: Abstract: The Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro (Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro) Botanical Garden (JB/UFRRJ) has a green area occupied mostly by sparsely planted arboreal species, in addition to a small area of regenerating forest and plantations. In consideration of the Brazilian federal rules for botanical gardens, the collection of the Arboretum was studied systematically: collection of complete samples, herborization and identification of the species by accepted botanical methods. The occurrence of native species from different Brazilian phytogeographic domains and common names were verified. A total of 125 species of arboreal Eudicotyledons, belonging to 30 families were registered, of which Fabaceae, Bignoniaceae, Malvaceae, Myrtaceae and Anacardiaceae were the richest ones. Species in danger of extinction and others with biological, ecological or economic value are represented, demonstrating the importance of the area to flora conservation. -

Manobo tribe is one of the most populated indigenous communities in the Philippines clustered in various parts of Mindanao archipelago with distinct cultural traditions and medicinal practices. This study aims to document the Agusan Manobo tribe medicinal plant uses and knowledge and to assess the conservation status of their medicinal plants found in upland ancestral lands where ethnomedicinal practices still prevail. Ethnomedicinal data were gathered from 95 key informants through semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions, and guided field walks in five selected upland barangays of Bayugan City. Family importance value (FIV) and relative frequency of citation (RFC) were quantified. The conservation status of their medicinal plants was assessed based on the international and national listing of threatened species.
