This paper, a case study in Chongqing, China, based on statistical data analysis and the fore- casting of population growth trend, combined with the development law of population urbaniza- tion and regional reality, mainly discusses major problems facing the development of China’s pop- ulation urbanization, economic, social and institutional obstacles to the solution of these problems in the development of population urbanization, and effective ways to promote positive interac- tions between the population urbanization and the economy, society and space. The analysis re- veals that in the process of the population urbanization, due to the large population base, large agricultural population, serious population aging problem and low level of education of popula- tion, China’s population urbanization development does not match with economic and social de- velopment in objective and pattern; there is a glaring contradiction in industrial upgrading, labor supply, the population migration and relocation. -

The Yangtze River Economic Belt (YREB) spans the three major regions of China, which are the most active areas of China’s economy. The contradiction between humans and land is becoming more acute. There are also regional differences in land use patterns affecting the coordinated development of the YREB and the construction of an ecological civilization. Therefore, the scientific evaluation of urban land intensive use is a key area in the current research field of urban sustainable development. In this study, the YREB is chosen as the research object, and urban land intensive use is studied using nighttime light data and statistical data on the urban built-up area. -

It is an important significance to promote regional integration, which researches on intercity regulatory measures. Firstly, the theoretical basis of regional governance in the world was summarized, including regulatory agencies, channel construction, incentives. Secondly, the developmental route of Guangzhou–Foshan was combed, and macro-measures and specific traffic measures of regional integration were summarized from four stages. Finally, the current situation and the problems of public passenger transporta- tion intercity were analyzed, and five typical cases were chosen to analyze from urban planning, road construction, rail transportation, public passenger transportation, and success reasons of the case were analyzed deeply from reg- ulatory agencies, channel construction, incentives. Moreover, some development strategies were proposed from management mechanism, participants, information sharing, laws and regulations, which would provide certain inte- gration of public passenger transportation in China at regional scale.
