Information on the First round of the European Motocross Championship EMX'65, 85cc and EMX Open 26-27.04.2014 in “Orlyonok” Date: 26-27 April 2014 The event includes 65, 85cc and Open class Championships. Venue: “Orlyonok”, Krasnodar Krai, Russia “Orlyonok” is a federal children's Centre, the largest one in the world. It is situated on the South of Russia on the Black Sea coast, 200 kilometres away from Sochi, the future capital-city of the Winter Olympic Games 2014. The sea border with Turkey is only 12 marine miles away from the camp. More than three kilometres of golden beach make “Orlyonok” unique and attractive. “Orlyonok” occupies 240 hectares and has its own TV and radio station, a modern sport complex and a medical centre, a motor pool, a secondary school, a library, a space museum and an astronomical observatory, clubs providing with various activities, rock-climbing grounds, a complex for motorcycle training and racing. Only 7 percents of the “Orlyonok” territory is occupied by buildings, the rest space is a unique arboretum. Thanks to the mild subtropical climate rare exotic plants grow here. The motocross track of “Orlyonok” was opened in 2009. The track is built in a classical style, its length is 1 850 meters, its width at the most narrow part is 8 meters. It offers elevation changes of 40 meters. The mild climate of the region and ground coating of the track make it possible to use it all year round. Adler (Sochi region) – 200 km away from “Orlyonok”. The organizer provides the transfer from Adler and Krasnodar airports to “Orlyonok” in comfortable buses. Please apply for the transfer beforehand. The sports complex of “Orlyonok” includes: - 4 motocross tracks (with ground coating and sand); - track for enduro; - mechanic zone; - showers; - toilets; - washing zone for motorcycles; - electricity; - medical centre; - hotels (single room:1600 - 3000 roubles per day; double room: 1600–4000 roubles per day); - sport gym; - Olympic-type swimming pool: The size of the pool is 50 x 21 m., there is a diving-board with high levels of 3, 5, 7, 10 meters. - Stadium: The large sport arena is of 21 370 m². The stadium contains a standard football grass field, 5 race tracks 400 m. long; a long- and triple-jumps sector; javelin and ball throw sectors. The stadium complex includes a small sports arena with a total sport area of 1 580 m². It is designed for sport games such as basketball, soccer, court tennis, handball. Our coaches can teach you different kinds of sport including national “gorodki” game. There are also sand volleyball courts at your disposal. “Orlyonok” is located very close to Sochi - the capital-city of the Winter Olympic Games 2014. While staying at our place all the participants can visit Sochi or choose other mountain tours: Sochi (200 km away from “Orlyonok”): “Krasnaya polyana” Ski Resort Distinctive health resort area with a centuries-long history that offers a wide range of attractions and leisure activities: 1. Olympic facilities. 2. Downhill skiing. 3. Cable cars. 4. Mountain apiary. 5. Honey tasting. Tour duration: 12 hours. “Riviera” Amusement Park There are four areas of attractions on the territory of this picturesque park: 1. MEGA DRIVE (20 attractions including Big Wheel, Corsair, Chamber of horror, motordrome, trampoline etc). 2. ADVENTURE ISLAND (20 attractions including shooting gallery, game- zone, air hockey etc). 3. ROLLER-COASTER (4 attractions) 4. DINO PARK (16 attractions for children). Tour duration: 1,5 hours.
