The meeting of the Hunterdon County Board for Vocational Education was called to order at 7:01 p.m. by Board President – Elizabeth Martin. Ms. Martin stated that this meeting was being held in accordance with the provisions of the Open Public Meetings Act. Adequate notice was given by prominently posting the meeting notice on the first floor of the County Administration Building, 71 Main Street, Flemington, New Jersey, a public place reserved for such announcements. The notice was sent to the Hunterdon County Democrat and by filing with the Hunterdon County Clerk a schedule of the time, date and place of the holdings of this meeting. Present were board members: Janice Kovach, Laurence Molloy, Michael Yates, Elizabeth Martin. Also present were Dr. Kimberly Metz – Superintendent, Susan Joyce – Business Administrator and Howard Vex, Board Attorney. Absent was Jeff Scott. Public Present: Polytech principal – Dan Kerr; Freeholder Liaison Ron Sworen. Public Comment: none Consent Agenda It was moved by Ms. Kovach, second by Mr. Yates to approve listed consent agenda items. 1. Approved the minutes of the Board of Education meeting of June 18, 2012. 2 Approved the minutes of the Executive Board of Education meeting of June 18, 2012. 3. Just as in life, these athletes are learning that it is the journey along the way that matters most. The hard work and perseverance that it takes to be successful here will go a long way towards preparing them for many future challenges. To the officials, volunteers and park personnel – thank you for providing a safe, fair and enjoyable experience for the athletes and spectators alike. To the winners – congratulations! You have achieved the highest level of success against some of the best competition in the country and have earned a place in New Jersey sports history.
