• A traffic flow management soluon organizing pre check-in, check-in and line management for ports with mulple ferry operators by providing holisc and easy to understand service for people with trucks and cars.

• Unl 2015 The project is co-financed by TWIN-PORT project (TEN-T).

• The project planned duraon is August 2014 – November 2016.

• 4 ferry companies – Tallink, Viking Line, Eckerö Line, St.PeterLine

• Nortal AS - a partner to design, develop, pilot and implement the new technology including purchase needed hardware.

Smart Port soluon is planned to comprise three key components:

1. Communicaon with various systems (ferry operators, customs, etc)

2. Customer experience management (online preregistraon, check–in procedures, line-management)

3. Hardware automaon (gates management, traffic sign control, automac vehicle dimension validaon) SMART PORT Project COOPERATION - Working group

With all the stakeholders (ferry operators and ports they call) involved has agreed that:

1. The user experience for passengers should be the same or very similar in different ports.

2. The different port systems have to connect with the operators systems in the same way, so that operators do not need to develop different systems for every port. New innovaon project
