Trevor Schauenberg Former President and CEO GE Capital Industrial Finance Trevor Schauenberg retired from the position of president and CEO of GE Capital Industrial Finance, the company’s business focused on financing solutions for its industrial customers. In 2017, GE Capital Industrial Finance managed $26B of assets and enabled $3B of equipment orders for GE companies, with employees in 28 countries. GE Industrial Finance is comprised of three operating companies: GE Healthcare Finance, GE Industrial Solutions Finance and GE Working Capital Solutions. A company officer, Schauenberg was previously the president and CEO of GE Capital’s Americas Direct Segment, which covered $25B of assets across the following five businesses: GE Corporate Finance, GE Fleet Services, GE Rail Services, GE Capital Canada, and GE Capital Mexico. He also held several Chief Financial Officer positions at GE including GE Capital Americas, GE Transportation; GE Global Property and Casualty Reinsurance in Munich, Germany; and GE Insurance Holdings in London. His leadership includes over five years as GE’s vice president of corporate investor relations for GE, August 2008-2013. Schauenberg joined the company as a member of the Financial Management Program in 1991 earning Corporate Honors distinction. He spent six years as a member of GE’s Corporate Audit staff, including four years in leadership roles. He received a BBA in finance from the University of Iowa in 1991. Schauenberg is chairman of the board of buildOn Chicago, an organization committed to empowering U.S. urban youth to transform their neighborhoods and the world through community service. In June 2019, he retired from GE and moved to Florence, Italy, with his family for a one-year sabbatical. Schauenberg and his wife, Kyle, and two daughters reside in Chicago. Updated January 2020 .
