(2016) Species ofPeziza s. str. on water-soaked wood with special reference to a new species, P. nordica, from central Norway. – Sydowia 68: 173–185. Peziza oliviae, P. lohjaoensis, P. montirivicola and a new species from Norway form a well-supported clade within the Peziza s. str. group based on study of the internal transcribed spacer + 5.8S rRNA gene, large subunit rRNA gene and the 6–7 region of the DNA-dependent RNA polymerase II gene. Like P. oliviae and P. montirivicola, the new species, P. nordica, is distinctly stipi- tate and occurs on wood that has been inundated by fresh water. These species also have paraphyses with yellow vacuolar inclu- sions. They fruit early in the season or at high elevations and are presumed to be saprobic. A discussion of application of the name Peziza is given. Keywords: Ascomycota, molecular phylogeny, Pezizales, taxonomy. The present work was begun to determine the Schwein.) Macrofungi Associated with Relict Endemic Liquidambar Orientalis Mill
Bangladesh J. Bot. 45(3): 589-595, 2016 (September) MACROFUNGI ASSOCIATED WITH RELICT ENDEMIC LIQUIDAMBAR ORIENTALIS MILL. * HALIL GÜNGÖR AND HAKAN ALLI Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Muğla-Turkey Key words: Liquidambar orientalis, Relict endemic, Macrofungi, New records Abstract Liquidambar orientalis Mill. is one of the most important relict-endemic species and native to south- west part of Turkey. This fungi are parasitic and saprophytic for L. orientalis. Parasitic and saprophytic fungi which are harmful for L. orientalis forest were listed. Two of them; Mollisia cinerea (Batsch) P. Karst and Crepidotus applanatus (Pers.) P. Kumm., are new records for Turkish mycota. They were illustrated and described. Introduction Liquidambar orientalis is known as oriental sweetgum and it is one of the most important relict-endemic taxon of Turkey. The flat deep hydromorphic soils rich in surface waters during summer months are the most productive sites for the dense stands of L. orientalis. It grows in the wetlands and native to southwest part of Turkey. Today the forests of this species show a very restricted distribution such as; Antalya (Kaş, Kalkan, Serik), Aydın (Çine), Burdur (Bucak), Denizli (Acıpayam), Isparta (Sütçüler), Muğla (Dalaman, Datça, Fethiye, Köyceğiz, Marmaris, Milas, Ula, Yatağan,) and İçel (Silifke, Göksu) Provinces and not naturally Island of Rhodes in Greece and Cyprus (Hill 1952, Pamukçuoğlu 1964, Meikle 1977, Tyler et al. 1981, Davis 1982). It lives 100 - 300 m height in coastline and 850 - 900 m height in upcountry (Öztürk et al. 2008). Because of wetland and humidity habitat L. orientalis forests host lots of macro- and microfungal species. -

Croat., Vol. 7, No 2., 91¿105, 1998, Zagreb The present research on Discomycetes in the Kvarner region has produced the first Croatian record of S. barlae, the first record of the genus Scutellinia in the Croatian North Adriatic. This European species is relatively poorly known as it has been so far recorded in only ten localities situated mostly in the Mediterranean area. Collections of the species were examined in detail through a proposed standardised procedure and compared with other collections outside Croatia as well as with the similar species S. minor. Although S. barlae and S. minor inhabit quite different bioclimatic areas, their closest localities in Croatia, are only 45 km distant. The January mean air temperature isotherm of 0 °C clearly separates all so far known localities of these two species. Abstract in August 2014, a Short Mycological Research Was Carried
Works of the Faculty of Forestry University of Sarajevo No. 2, 2015 (113-125) UDK 582.282.16:712.2(1-751.2) (497.6 Sutjeska) SOME PEZIZOMYCETES COLLECTED ON THE TERRITORY OF THE SUTJESKA NATIONAL PARK Neki pripadnici razreda Pezizomycetes prikupljeni na području Nacionalnog parka Sutjeska Nihad Omerović1, Nedim Jukić1 Abstract In August 2014, a short mycological research was carried out in the Sutjeska National Park, Bosnia and Herzegovina, at several localities along the rivers Sutjeska and Hrčavka. The main objective of this research was to start documenting presence of fungal species in this area so that a provisional list of potentially rare and endangered species could be proposed in the future. Over 20 species, members of the phylum Ascomycota, were collected and examined (families Pyronemataceae, Pezizaceae, Ascobolaceae and Helotiaceae), some of which were recorded for the first time for Bosnia and Herzegovina. As a first step towards the aforementioned goal, three identified species - Peziza polarispinosa J. MORAVEC, Parascutellinia carneosanguinea (FUCKEL) T. SCHUMACH., Marcelleina brevicostatispora J. MORAVEC were selected to be presented in this paper. Key words: Peziza polarispinosa, Parascutellinia carneosanguinea, Marcelleina brevicostatispora, Pyronemataceae, NP Sutjeska, Tjentište INTRODUCTION - Uvod The mycological research conducted in August 2014 in the Sutjeska National Park was a part of the CfE’s2 campaign „Bitka za Sutjesku“ that was aimed to provide evidence against construction of small hydroelectric power plants within the territory of the National Park, by collecting biodiversity and ecological data and evaluating potential impact from the announced construction. The main objective of the mycological research was to produce a list of currently present fungal species, to discover potentially rare and endangered species within protected area and to assess the environmental impact from the habitat alterations.
