Vigor delivers ATB Tug, Dale R Lindsey, to Harley Marine Services SEATTLE, WASH. – (July 6, 2015) – Vigor’s Seattle shipyard recently delivered the Dale R Lindsey, a 95’ x 38’ x 16’, 3,000 hp ATB Twin Screw Tug to Harley Marine Services Inc. This is the eleventh vessel built by Vigor for its long-time cus- tomer, Harley Marine. Two 83,000 bbl., double-hull ATB tank barges, Fight ALS and Fight Fanconi Anemia, were recently completed at the Portland, Ore. shipyard. “Repeat business is one of the best compliments a builder can receive,” said Keith Whittemore, Vigor Executive VP of Business Development. “Even better is when the confidence of our customers extends into new areas. Vigor has worked hard to expand its capabilities and has steadily grown from a barge builder to a construction portfolio that includes ferries in Seattle, Alaska and San Francisco, fishing vessels, fireboats, tugs, high performance crafts and now an ATB tug.” Designed by Elliot Bay Design Group for primary operation in Alaska, the ATB tug utilizes an Articouple FRM-43M coupler system to pair with the 20,000 barrel oil barge, Petro Mariner. HOOP PILE HOLDERS Our convertible Hoop Pile Holders have 3 basic pieces, a dock bracket, a hoop and a roller assembly. This allows you to have a hoop pile holder the way you want it, whether it be a permanent hoop, a removable hoop or a hoop with a roller. All Hoops on this page are 1-1/2” schedule 40 pipe. The dock brackets are 4” x 6” x 1/4” angle. The Roller assembly features a 6” solid poly roller and can be bolted to the deck plate or directly to the dock. All parts are hot dipped galvanized. WORLD WAR 2 LCI-713 SENDS $.O.$. - PORTLAND, OR – The nonprofit Amphibious Forces Memorial Museum (AFMM) has broadcast a financial “Save Our Ship” to help preserve LCI-713, the only Amphibious Landing Craft Infantry still afloat and looking as it did in World War II. LCIs were at D-Day on June 6, 1944. LCI gunboats blasted Japanese gun emplacements at Iwo Jima before the Allied invasion of February 1945. Since 2005 LCI-713’s volunteer crew has restored the ship to almost the way it looked – above the waterline. The hull has never been out of water since 1944 and is worn very thin. AFMM owns enough 5/16th steel plate to replace or re-plate the hull. Although LCI-713 is moored at Portland’s Swan Island lagoon, near Vigor Marine Services, AFMM 1995 Navigator lacks the means and money to put the 158 x 23-foot ship into dry dock. According to AFMM pres- ident Rick Holmes, “We need a large barge in Portland, onto which the ship can be lifted, where This boat is in excellent shape inside and out. The Oceanus LED Utility light fixture is designed to replace fluorescent light fixtures in applications where long life, minimal maintenance, and low power consumption are important considerations. A 3900K Natural White color is used to achieve the best CRI and there are versions with an added red or blue color circuit for nite time illumination. The fixture can be flush mounted or surface mounted with supplied bezel. Available in 85v-265vac, 10v-30vdc and a dual circuit 85v-265vac + 10v-30vdc.
