Hosted by Silversea Executives Peter Shanks, Managing Director for UK and Ireland, and Frank Sansone, Vice President of Guest Relations, this exclusive occasion was the first of three events that will unfold during the voyage. The second event, which was hosted on June 17 and was preceded by a scenic tour of the French Riviera, entailed an elegant dinner at Nice's iconic Negresco Hotel. The third event will embrace authentic Greek culture with a Greek-themed evening of dinner and dancing at the Pleiades Restaurant in Patmos, Greece. "It was a great pleasure to welcome guests to our gala evening event in Barcelona, ahead of the Mediterranean World Cruise 2019 aboard Silver Shadow," says Peter Shanks. Subsequently the following 319 complete maritime transits of the Northwest Passage have been made to the end of the 2020 navigation season, before winter began and the passage froze. These transits proceed to or from the Atlantic Ocean (Labrador Sea) in or out of the eastern approaches to the Canadian Arctic archipelago (Lancaster Sound or Foxe Basin) then the western approaches (McClure Strait or Amundsen Gulf), across the Beaufort Sea and Chukchi Sea of the Arctic Ocean, through the Bering Strait, from or to the Bering Sea of the Pacific Ocean. The Arctic Circle is crossed near the beginning and the end of all transits except those to or from the central or northern coast of west Greenland. The routes and directions are indicated. In the early 1990s, the Lefebvre family of Rome, former owners of Sitmar Cruises, conceived and organised a unique cruise company pledging to build and operate the highest quality ships in the ultra-luxury segment. The name "Silversea" was chosen because it connotes quality and luxury as well as capturing the romance and special sensa3ons of the sea. Silversea launched its first ship, Silver Cloud, in 1994, followed by Silver Wind in 1995, Silver Shadow in 2000, and Silver Whisper in 2001. The ship is due to join the Silversea fleet in 2020. The new ship, tentatively named Silver Moon, will be the sister ship of Silver Muse which was delivered in April 2017 at the Fincantieri shipyard in Sestri Ponente (Genoa). At 40,700 gross tons and with a capacity to accommodate 596 passengers on board, Silver Moon will maintain the small-ship intimacy and spacious all-suite accommodation, which is the hallmark of the Silversea experience. The new build will expand Silversea's fleet to 10 ships and will significantly raise the bar in the ultra-luxury segment with a wealth of enhancements to the on board experience while satisfying the uncompromising requirements for comfort, service and quality of the world's most discerning travellers. The addition of the ultra luxury Silversea ships to SCH’s portfolio means the port services company will handle some 100 cruise ship calls in Southampton during this year. Silversea Cruises will make 11 calls in Southampton during 2017, offering cruises round Britain and to Northern and Western Europe on its small, exclusive vessels Silver Whisper, Silver Explorer, Silver Muse and Silver Wind. The 40,700 tonnes Silver Muse, with accommodation for just under 600 guests, will make her debut in Southampton after being built in Italy. She is due to enter service in the Spring and will make her maiden Southampton calls in September. SCH will provide baggage, storing and mooring services during the ships’ visits to Southampton. Cruise Operation Manager Glen Gardner explained: “Silversea Cruises are a prestigious addition to the fleet of ships that we handle in Southampton. B. The term “Vessel” means the ship chartered, operated, or provided by Carrier upon which Passenger has booked passage and/or embarked. C. The term “Voyage” means the voyage from the port of embarkation to the port of disembarkation.

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Royal Caribbean Group provides business update and reports on third quarter 2020 MIAMI – October 29, 2020 – Royal Caribbean Group (NYSE: RCL) today reported financial results for the third quarter of 2020 and commented on the business considering the global COVID-19 pandemic. Third Quarter 2020 On March 13, 2020 and due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Company voluntarily suspended its global cruise operation. The Company resumed limited cruise operations outside of the U.S. in July with three vessels from TUI cruises and two vessels from Hapag Lloyd, and in September, for a limited period, with one Silversea ship. The Company reported US GAAP Net Loss for the third quarter of 2020 of $(1.3) billion or $(6.29) per share compared to US GAAP Net Income of $883.2 million or $4.20 per share in the prior year. The Company also reported Adjusted Net Loss of $(1.2) billion or $(5.62) per share for the third quarter of 2020 compared to Adjusted Net Income of $896.8 million or $4.27 per share in the prior year. The Net Loss and 1 Adjusted Net Loss for the quarter are the result of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the business. Business Update The Company continues to work with government and health authorities across the globe to address the unique public health challenges posed by COVID-19 and expects to re-start its global cruise operation in a phased manner. Recently, the Company received approval to sail from the Singaporean Government. As a result, the Company anticipates that Quantum of the Seas, a ship from the Royal Caribbean International fleet, will resume cruising from Singapore in December 2020.
